"The hotel was nice and clean but the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable plus the AC didn’t keep the room cool. It was very hot in Florence when we stayed. Beds were extremely hard and pillows very flat."

"Beautiful property up in the Arcetri hills with real quiet and a view over Florence you don't get in the center. Rooms were clean and the grounds are lovely. Staff were helpful and sorted our transport both arriving and leaving, which mattered on a morning with an early train. Worth knowing it's a hill above the city, not a walk with luggage, so plan on a taxi. If you want calm at the end of the day rather than stepping straight into the crowds, it's a good trade."

"We were upgraded to the Hotel Della Calza SPA. This turned out to be a fantastic place to end a long hot day. The SPA ameneties were part of the package and it was truly a big benefit for recovering from the walking and bustle of all the crowds."

"Spotless. Top notch Italian breakfast. Pool, gym, clean tidy room. Amazing friendly staff all speak English and probably other languages. Close to Il Duoma. Very happy I stayed here."

"This is overall a great property in every respect. Highly recommended. The only advice to other visitors is to plan for their lunch and dinner if they want more variety. The hotel restaurant is great and we dined there several times. But there are not many other good choices within walking distance from the hotel."
