"This was a great apartment, lots of space for a family of 4. Two bedrooms, a cute kitchen, a living room amd washroom. It had a lovely balcony with sea and mountain views. Washing machine came in handy and the clothes dried surprisingly fast on the drying rack. Check in was easy with a video sent to really see the location. Only 2 things to be aware of: a lot of steps to get up there, we tolerated them but they could be a lot, and, the washroom door was not frosted enough. We hung a towel across it. Great location too, to walk to the beach and train. The train runs under and past the building and did go by every 20 minutes in the day but we barely noticed. Sounded like soothing thunder. I think it either stopped or was less frequent at night."

"Out of shape people need not stay here. Big hill to get to the property. But we liked the walks!! That said, this was a beautiful property away from the hubbub. Great view of the sea and trees from the balcony. They even had some staples (including prosecco) for some weary travelers who arrived late! Beds were comfy, everything was clean and simple. It was so nice to have a kitchen to store fruits and veggies and simple healthy breakfasts. We even shopped at the market down the hill and made our own Italian dinner one night. Close enough to the best beach IMO. NOTE: Google Maps has stairs walking directions but they are closed. Two sitting areas so great for a group who needs some alone time to spread out after being together. Built into a hill so stayed relatively cool while we were gone with AC off. Overall, we had a lovely 5 night stay. I wish it had been longer. The only hiccup was on the welcome letter, after booking flights and trains, said checkin after 10 is “impossible.” We were afraid we’d miss the train from La Spezia to get us there in time so got a 500 taxi (who didn’t bring us up the hill). We came to find out that it IS possible as there is just a lockbox. If the taxi had brought us up the hill it would have been worth the 500…but we kind of just wasted 470. Oh. And a knife sharpener on property would be great. I forgot the one I usually bring traveling."
