"A beautiful old hotel in the city center, not far from the monastery. We liked the old style atmosphere. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
We can recommend this hotel."
"This family-owned business is a little paradise not far from Madrid and in the beautiful and historical place of Escorial. Great place for a wonderful time. The breakfast was delicious. We were honoured to see the amazing work the family has been doing with the Pura Raza Española "pure spanish breed" and some of the amazing horses."
"Staff was very nice - close restaurants - easy breakfast - oddly reminded me of a small Vegas hotel I once stayed in. Definitely will stay again next time we are going this way."

"This is a landmark property in Madrid, so it was a unique experience in that sense. It's been thoroughly modernized, and the thick outside windows do an incredible job of keeping the street noise completely out. It is a huge facility, so the breakfast buffet was the equivalent length of a football field, though distributed in multiple stations, so all the options seemed close. The quality of the food was also first rate, and everything was freshly cooke (no pans of tepid eggs sitting under a hot light for hours). On the othe other hand, the size of the pool was not commensurate to the number of people around it. The views, though, were spectacular. Also, if we hadn't had to catch an early flight, we definitely would have spent some night time in the beautiful 27th story terrace (definitely a dress up venue). We dod a quick walk through, and it was impressive. "
