"It was amazing. If you're looking for an authentic sicilian country side experience then this is it. The property is rustic but beautifully maintained. The room was large and had aircon. The breakfast was lovely. The gardens are divine and the pool area was great. Miss Anna was extremely helpful and so lovely. I wish we had stayed longer! It isnt near the beach, so if thats what you want then its not for you. Its up in the hills away from anywhere. Its so peaceful. 10/10"

"5/5 stars for the grounds and location. The outdoor areas were spectacular. We cooked / had dinner in the outdoor kitchen one night. The pool was clean and beautiful day and night. The outdoor showers were awesome. While it was too hot to play tennis, having the court is a great option. All very well kept. The view from the villa is insane. Worth it for the grounds.I will say the villa itself is a bit small and dated - especially the electrical and plumbing. For example, running all of the air conditioners and having the lights on at the same time caused a power outage (which we fixed by resetting the breaker). Also could not flush toilet paper. Not a problem, just somethings to be aware of when staying in an older home out in the mountains. With that being said, the AC worked well (important for us Americans in the summer), the property manager was responsive and helpful, and the villa had what we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a short drive to scopello (incl. tonnara di scopello which we highly recommend) and castelmarre del golfo. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you plan on using the outdoor amenities and want promiximity to nearby attractions. If you plan on being inside a lot, you might want something more updated / spacious."

Linda was an absolute pleasure and nothing was too much for her to assist with. The swimming pool was perfect for the sunny days and provides a welcome relief from the sunshine. Overall this is the perfect place to stay for a peaceful visit to Scopello."

"A lovely villa, great time was had. But attention is required to make it more comfortable. Positives:- Air conditioning worked perfectly- Pool area & outside area were great. - Room sizes are large and spacious.- Beds were very comfortable. - All bathrooms worked, we all had ensuites.- Baby facilities were plentiful.- Washing machine and plenty of clothes airers (pegs were lacking).- The house had separate towels available for the pool usage. - Rubbish collection was faultless - as this can be a problem in Italy which we have established on previous holidays. Negatives:- Lack of comfortable inside seating downstairs. You have to use the mezzanine level, but there are only 3 chairs. Also the TV downstairs is *so* loud the volume could not be changed. - No hoover but there is a cupboard dedicated to hoover attachments? Iron does not work. Dishwasher required rinse-aid. Coffee machine needed descaling. - Lack of storage in bedrooms and kitchen. We all had to live out of our suitcases. - There is not enough proper drinking glasses for the amount of people this house holds. - The hot water ran cold every night - 8 adults having showers was too much? - The sprinklers! The timings need adjusting. They come on at 2pm and create a slip and slide on the path. The amenities are lacking here. If attention is provided to the above *finer* details it would be a 10/10 villa."

"Villa Fenice was perfect for our group of 5 adults who wanted their own space. The kitchen was smaller than i had expected and did not really have any of the basics like S&P, etc but it wasn’t a big deal because we did not cook much. We were not used to all the rules surrounding recycling, and didnt expect to have to put down a deposit for recycling.Communication with the owners was fine: they were responsive to our questions. The views were incredible. The roads leading to the Villa from the beaches were winding and steep, and not comfortable driving in the dark - but to be expected given the amazing views."

"The house was amazing, the pool ist very big and the ocean view from the pool is perfect to watch the sunrise. The whole outside area of the house is gorgeous ther are two outside showers and you are sorrounded by mountain views. The house was clean and its only 5 minutes away from the most beautifull village scopello and hidden beaches. The communication was amazing, very fast and helpful. We can only reccomend to stay here when you are visisting sicily!"

"I was happy to have brought my dogs to a house that was clean. The host Valentina was extremely helpful!! My niece fell and strained her ankle, Valentina was able to get me to a hospital to get an x-ray for her. All reservations for the private boat tours were excellent. The house was on a beautiful street quiet, remote, and close to all. Seven min drive to Guida loca beach. Thank you Valentina"
