Although we didn't use it, the games room looked like it could be fun and give older children a space of their own. The pool is great. It is clean and well maintained and Marie's husband comes by every other day to check it out.The location is good and generally peaceful, although the road running next to the property is used as a bit of a cut through. We have stayed in rural France many times so know what to expect but we did at least expect to be able to find an open restaurant in one of the neighbouring towns. Perhaps it was the time of the year we went as many were closed for all or a large part of August. The addition of WiFi would boost the overall review score and be a big help to those without unlimited data roaming." Really good continental breakfast. There was even a kettle and decent teabags! This hotel is excellent value for money. Immaculately clean, lovely bathrooms. The rooms were spacious and comfortable - modern rooms but in keeping with the traditional rustic building. The hotel has an honesty bar where you can get a beer (but not much else) although there's no drinks or facilities to make bake a drink in the rooms. The village itself is very quiet - nothing to do apart from go for a walk. The next village along, Brulon, had a few more restaurants/cafes. We ate in the restaurant next to the hotel - worth booking ahead as it didn't look like they did walk-ins. The hotel booked us a table the day before we arrived. We would definitely stay here again and wish we'd stayed more than one night - if you're looking for a comfortable, peaceful overnight stopover, this hotel is perfect."
