A pleasant small hotel in a sleepy small town which has a massive Hogwartsesque abbey by the river. A very pleasant place for a short visit. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant.

An elegant property in an off the main track location. Friendly and helpful staff and convenient parking. The room lacked USB ports, and no kettle, but those were the only negatives. Restaurant is old style French. Impeccable service and beautifully cooked and presented food. A lovely stay.

It was our first time at the Grand Hotel. We stayed at the hotel on our way to catch the ferry from Caen to the UK. The location is very peaceful next to the Solesmes Abbey. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was of a high quality. Our superior room had a balcony and air con and was spacious. Our little border terrier, Lola, was made very welcome and we found a lovely walk next to the river behind the Abbey. We will definitely come back.

Climatisation en panne et aucune solution proposée. Par temps de canicule évidemment. Je le découvre en arrivant dans la chambre. J’aurais aimé être prévenue avant mon arrivée pour trouver une solution de repli. Ayant des soucis de santé passagers ce n’était vraiment pas le moment pour moi!

Un très bel hôtel, qui a du charme, joliment décoré et entretenu. Une excellente literie et personnel très accueillant. On s'y sent très bien et au calme. Enfin, il faut tester le restaurent sur place, avec des menus compacts et délicieux, et servis par un personnel très attentif et souriant.

La chambre était tout à fait correcte. J'ai semble-t'il été surclassée, ayant réservée la dernière chambre ce soir là. Par contre, le restaurant était plus que décevant, on m'avait indiqué que le restaurant était complet alors qu'il était vide, j'étais même isolée, le service a duré presque 2 h 1/2 pour un repas ne nécessitant pas une préparation particulière...

Nous avons passé un tres bon moment mes filles et moi. Que ce soit l'accueil, le personnel la qualite du diner et du petit dejeuner, la prestation de la chambre tout etait parfait. Bravo aux differents personnels qui nous ont accueilli avec sourrire, ecoute et professionnalisme. Au plaisir de revenir sans hésitation

Hotel was clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. However the hotel was just too hot. The air conditioning in the restaurant was barly functioning and there was no A.C. in the room - other than an electric fan. Using the booking 'filter' I requested a hotel with A.C in the room.

An excellent hotel first rate staff and service. This is a hotel I have always enjoyed staying at. Excellent evening meal with attentive staff. Good breakfastwhich makes for good start to the day.
