The hotel is amongst the best we've stayed in. The room is comfortable with great views over the gardens. The food is good, but what makes the hotel outstanding is the service from the staff. They are very friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile. The hotel has a unique thermal pool with a constant 35-40oC temperature. The hotel provide robes and towels to use at the pool, which is just as well as the iron rich water stains everything...

Hi everyone. This hotel is located in the north of the island and easily accessible from the capital, Ponta Delgada in 20 min by car mostly in a motorway. Its right on the coast with a beach a few meters away. There's nothing bad to mention about this hotel. Its clean, friendly and full of the right amenities for a place with this classification. The staff is nothing short of superb! Around the area there are a few restaurants to choose from, and i particularly recommend Alabote. Now, if you...

Staff made the trip giving guidance on local activities being welcoming and friendly each morning by serving breakfast. Owner supported with a special request going above and beyond thank you to the team for making our stay that much more special

very attentive staff wonderful furniture and fittings in public areas.good value buffet at reasonable rates

Wonderful holiday with lots of hikes around lakes and along beautiful trails to waterfalls. We loved the hotel. Our suite was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed and great bath. We had enough space to do yoga each morning. The staff were very pleasant and helpful providing information about hikes and tourism. Marcia was an absolute gem and looked after us so well. Beautiful island and a relaxing weeks holiday.

We really enjoyed our 10 night stay at Pedras do Mar resort. Great facilities and some really nice staff. Beautiful location and only 15 mins by car to Ponta Delgada. If you want to be able to walk around a town and choose from bars/restaurants every evening this is not the resort for you, although having said that, a taxi is only 15 euros in to Ponta Delgada where there is plenty to choose from. We rented a car for 5 days and we loved being able to explore the whole island this way. It is a...

Gorgeous place. Very kind and helpful staff. We could relax and enjoy our holidays.

Stayed at the São Miguel Park hotel for a week with my husband and 21 months old son. We were given a triple room which was very spacious. Breakfast was really good and had a wide selection of cheeses, local bread and fresh fruit. Staff were very friendly and very attentive to my son's needs (he's got multiple allergies). My husband used the gym everyday and said the equipment was better than at his local gym! We swam at the pool and used the jacuzzi almost every day and often had the pool to...

A great stay, just one night before we explored the rest of the island

Very welcoming staff at reception. Advise them if you want breakfast during your stay. Our room was a good size but the hot water was sometimes erratic. Breakfast was really good, lots of crispy bacon and hot pancakes. Difficult to find fault with anything really.

We booked a sea view room and the hotel overlooked this. When I pointed this our they have us a suite!!!! Totally wonderful response to a Small error in their part

The hotel was sufficient for our needs with a good range of facilities. The hotel staff were amazing and very accommodating. Whilst the property looked dated, it had everything we needed, was very clean and there were obvious signs of continued maintenance. Our room was great and well presented. Good location and within easy reach of lots of places on the island. Nice quite location and great views.

Very enjoyable holiday, beautiful island with spectacular views, a must to see with an abundance of flowers on the hedgerows, everywhere is kept spotlessly clean and maintained in a pristine condition, easy access to viewing points by car which can be hired at very reasonable rates, good selection of cafes and restaurants around the island serving excellent food at reasonable prices. We both enjoyed seeing the museum at the Forte de Sao Bras, Ponta Delgada, situated at the end of the promenade....
