![Belem Tower is located in the town of Bethlehem, county and district of Lisbon in Portugal. On the right bank of the Tagus river, where there was once the beach of Bethlehem, it was originally surrounded by water around its perimeter. Over the centuries it was surrounded by the beach, even today incorporate the land.

One of the "ex libris" of the city, the monument is an icon of architecture of the reign of Manuel I of Portugal, in a synthesis between the tradition menagemde medieval tower and baluartemoderno where it had artillery pieces.

Over time the tower lost its defense function of the Tagus bar and, from the Philippine occupation, old barns gave way to the dungeons. "Locke De Santa Joana is a perfect place to stay when visiting Lisboa. Great location! Accomodations are very nice...my studio included a full kitchenette with cooktop, oven, sink, dishwasher, fridge, and a washer / dryer. On site restaurants were very good and the front desk staff were very accommodating, courteous, and helpful. There is a gallery with some beautiful artifacts that were discovered during the development of the property (?). I will be returning to Lisboa in a few days and I am looking forward to staying at this hotel again. I give it 5 stars."

"We love this hotel. The convenience of its location is amazing. We just walked from the airport. The rooms are good, but they need more table. Space. The tiny tables next to the bed are so small. It would be great if they were bigger. Everything else about this hotel is wonderful, including the breakfast buffet and all the people that work. There are very nice. "
