"Ian was very helpful given Vrbo platform comms was awful (App may be better). Had a lovely couple of days stay and excellent local dog walking and Beach a short walk too. Cottage was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Well positioned for local coastal adventuring. Would recommend arriving in day light as the car park is not lit and access for unloading everything was not that straightforward! Otherwise a great stay."

"What a beautiful place to be for our wedding weekend. I've walked past this gorgeous home a lot over the last 11 years, and have dreamed of staying there. And this was the perfect opportunity. "River crest is a lovely comfortable well equipped cottage with everything we needed for our weeks stay. It was clean and has a good shower. The bed was cosy and comfortable. The best thing is the view across looe and out to sea. Looe is a very nice place to stay with good shops and pubs. It is handy for a number of national trust properties. Lanhydrock and Antony are worth visiting. Polperro Fowey and Seaton are nearby and worth a visit. There are steps down to the cottage which need care but we...

"Just returned from a family holiday, an amazing cottage and location. A great base for discovering the wonders of Cornwall, an easy drive to St Ives, Penzance and Bude to name a few. Everything you need for a holiday is available within the cottage, very very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Look forward to returning Thanks Jo & Family"

"The property was lovely, very clean and tidy. Only a couple of moans, there was no welcome pack to say what time the pub was open etc, no paperwork for the tv and we weren't told there is wifi, when bookings it said no wifi! Some of the plastic utensils were so bendy they couldn't really do their job properly ie potato masher and serving spoons!! Apart from that everything was great."

"Our host Sue was absolutely amazing she was there to greet us and show us around the property. For us it was the ideal location, down a country lane quiet and away from any noise. The cottage was immaculate with everything you need, a home from home. It was also located within driving distance to Perranporth and it’s beautiful beach plus much more. We will return !"

I had my 90 year old mother with me so the steps into the property were a bit of a challenge, particularly the step over the threshold. The stairs within the house were also steep, but she managed ok. Well equipped and tastefully decorated. "Birdsong was exactly as described and had everything you needed for your stay. The bedrooms were so quirky and different, loved them. Sadly the weather wasn't on our side so we didnt get to sit in the beautiful garden. The cream tea was an added treat, thank you Jane. Would absolutely love to visit again in the future."

"The cottage is excellent, clean, convenient and has everything you will need. Penryn is quiet, so it’s a trip in to Truro or Falmouth for entertainment, but the buses are excellent. A great place to stay and explore Cornwall."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Nicky has been fantastic and was easy to reach on the phone. The property was easy to access and was in extremely good condition and was well maintained. And as a bonus there was an electric charging point too. We were able to enjoy the pool and the hot tub, it was very quiet and relaxing! The only issue with the property was that the shower screen in both bathrooms was slightly small so there was water leakage but otherwise we could not find any...

"This is a beautiful cottage with such attention to detail. The bathrooms and kitchen have recently been replaced and are beautiful, showers powerful and plenty of hot water. Kitchen really well equipped and living areas / bedrooms really comfortable and homely. Location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the beach and 1 minute walk from the local shop / cafe and pubs."

"Charming old tea rooms which is now a lovely chalet with everything needed. Short drive to Falmouth and its facilities Couldn't get closer to the beach. Owner very helpful and responsive to queries. Left feeling recharged and rested. Would definitely go back."
