This was our second stay at the Colony this summer. My husband and I made a stop sans kids and decided to return with our kids after a lovely first stay. We loved that the main building did not have televisions naturally creating a great screen detox and had no issues with the room temperature despite no televisions. We did find it odd that on our second stay there was no handsoap provided, but it wasn't a big deal. The beach is lovely and calm and our kids had a blast fishing on the channel (the Kennebunkport Marina is walking distance and sells gear) and catching invasive green crabs. Lovely stay. Will surely return.

We had a great stay - wonderful weather and hardly anyone there! The hotel is charmfully historic and the rooms were cute. Everything was well maintained. Staff were inconsistent - some very helpful, others... The pool and the view from the pool - amazing!!! The beach was not. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Although the main building and many of the amenities (e.g., restaurant) were closed for renovations, the new Coveside building was great! The rooms are well appointed and spacious. It's so great to be able to bring my pup along. Beautiful walking trails, and the Coveside market had all the necessities and a nice coffee bar.

Stayed 3 nights. First two were fine. The highlights are the pool and beach and large wrap around deck with chairs. Extremely dog friendly which was great. Decided to stay an extra night but booked through this webstite which you should not do here. We were knowingly given a room inches above a wedding reception after party. The thumping and noise went on from 10-2, and despite several calls to the front desk they pretty much said that there was nothing they could do for us. There was not even a manager to talk with after 1130. The place is certainly nice for families with their dogs but avoid booking on websites like this one and make sure to see if any functions are happening during your stay ahead of time. If there is I’d say avoid, or make sure to have the front desk give you a room away from the festivities
