"Resort is undergoing some upgrades atm to cope with the expected influx of school holiday travelers, The rebuilt children's splash zone will be a treat once completed and the kitchen is in the process of being refit as well. Staff and management are great and a pleasure to communicate with. Prices for food and drinks are on par with town center so if you do not wish to travel there is that option, also there is a supermarket next door with ATM's on the outside of the building. Tropicana Lagoon Apartments

10/10 Excellent

"We felt very welcomed at Tropicana the staff were very friendly and helpful. Diana even took us around the island for the day. The kids loved the pool and kayaks in the lagoon. The apartments came fully equipped so you can cook your own meals as well. Would recommend!"

Prices for food and drinks are on par with town center so if you do not wish to travel there is that option, also there is a supermarket next door with ATM's on the outside of the building. If you wish to try some Kava, there is a couple of spots across the road from the supermarket."

Iririki Island Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Loved our stay at Iririki Resort, beautiful setting, accommodations were comfortable and property was well kept. Staff were wonderful and worked hard to ensure we had all we needed and always smiled and extremely helpful. Highly recommend and would love to return for a visit someday... Thank you for a memorable week - food was excellent with multiple choices and a varied menu. Would only ask if at all possible to have more chaise lounges around the infinity pool - it was impossible to snag one during our stay as they were always occupied and not enough."

Fatumaru Lodge Port Vila

10/10 Excellent

"Stunning views of Fatumaru Bay, relaxing home away from home vibe. Kayaks and water access at your doorstep. Walking distance to local cafes. We walked all the way into town and enjoyed the shoreline board walk. There is a very friendly cat who will be friend you if you wish it to- just lovely!"

The Melanesian Port Vila Hotel

8/10 Good

"Arranging airport transfers via Expedia’s messaging portal was a failure. Hotel quoted a price via the portal that I confirmed, but no one showed up at the airport. Had to pay much more for a taxi. Hotel staff didn’t have an explanation as to why the transfer wasn’t scheduled. At check in I requested a return transfer be scheduled on my departure day. They took my flight info and said to just confirm it the day before. When I went the day before to confirm they had no record of my request. The rooms are comfortable. Soap and shampoo supplied. Had a full kitchen but didn’t use it. The pools look well kept with plenty of seats but some of the walkways going to the rooms are in need of repair. Overall location is good. A short 10-15 minute walk to downtown waterfront restaurants and public market. They have an on-site Italian restaurant, Casa Mia. Waitress said I could sit anywhere but after doing so and getting comfortable, napkin on my lap, was then asked if I could move to a different table. They shouldn’t tell someone they can sit anywhere if they don’t mean it. That said, the food was delicious."
