There is a free ferry running all day long to a beautiful private island with prestige water. You need walk up and down hills but it's a beautiful walk. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. You will fell at home. Rooms are dated, the whole resort could do with an update. Food was pricey for what it was. Resort could hire a better chef for sure. I don't mind paying resort prices if quality is there but unfortunately it was disappointing. The ride takes about 2mins and the boat operates constantly. The longest you'll ever wait is 5 minutes. We stayed in a waterview fare though not over the water but still excellent. Island has pools on either side as with the bars and restaurants. This means even at peak time (after Christmas) it never feels full of people. We stayed in an Island Fare and it was gorgeous - the views over the harbour from the verandah room were especially lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to everyone and it was so nice to see them interacting with all the children. The food was a-maze-ing - really tasty and plentiful (I don't think we had an individual lunch all week). The amenities were great on the island and having the option of the boat transfer every few minutes gave you plenty of other options to go and do something else. Loved it all. Felt like my island home. The island resort had a lot on offer including complimentary breakfast, day spa, dining restaurants, live music, buffet nights, pools, tour desk, gym and kids club. For recreational activities there is a tennis court, free hire of kayaks, stand up paddle boards and snorkelling gear. The ferry from the mainland of Port Vila to Iririki runs all hours so commute is very convenient. Hence there is no issue if you would like to head to Port Vila for some local shopping, food experiences or be picked up for booked activities or airport transfers. The highlights at Iririki are the staff. They are genuine and friendly. Always lending a helping hand!
