Three-story, very comfortable house, right in the center of Port en-Bessin-Huppain. Two bedrooms on third floor, two good bath rooms. One on first floor, one on third floor. Attractive living room , dining area and extraordinarily well equipped kitchen should you prefer to cook. Dedicated gated parking on premise. Otherwise there are a number of fine small restaurants nearby. Designed with taste, modernity and comfort in mind. A word of caution: stairs make this house potentially not suitable for the infirm elderly. We had no problems and are all above 75 years of age. (The owners, the Langlois family, runs a terrific store just around the corner and are very responsive. Do check it out: Cider, wine, calvados, cheese, and numerous other delectables. All very tempting.) We would gladly return.
Port en-Bessin is perfectly located for touring the Invasion sites, as well as Bayeux, Caen, Honfleur, and the Cherbourg areas. Go to the tourist bureau across the picturesque harbor; the bureau is particularly helpful as well.
