Apartments are in good condition with kitchen well equipped for light meals. Staff were great suggestions and feedback on local attractions. The pool area was fantastic, a perfect spot to relax, and the apartment kitchen and shared BBQ facilities made breakfasts and easy dinners so convenient. Everything was thoughtfully set up to make our stay enjoyable and stress-free. A special mention to Brooke, who checked us in – she was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. Verandahs truly felt like a little slice of paradise. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We wish we had stayed longer. This was the nicest accommodation we had in a 3 week trip around Australia. Port Douglas is also a very nice small town with lots to do. Verandahs is conveniently located right next to the little downtown so once parked the car we could walk from there. We only stayed two nights, but I wished we had more time. Too bad too Bath laundry a full kitchen. It was great just to kind of relax. Cook a meal watch TV and have a good night sleep. We stayed here towards the end of a month long vacation and it felt so comfortable and welcoming. The owners are on site, quick to respond, helpful and very accommodating to overseas travelers with crazy schedules. The place is very well kept, clean and safe. Good sized & well equipped one bedroom apartment. Covered terrace, good ac, fans, washing machine & dryer. Comfy bed and it’s nice & quiet. No lift but it’s not a problem. Underground car parking. Lovely pool & sunbeds. WiFi was quite variable, it worked well in the bedroom but less so on the terrace. Could do with a deep clean. On the surface it was fine but the washing machine was very dusty, same with inside of lampshades, drawers in the bathroom need wiping & some cutlery needed washing up before we could use it.
