A Fantastic, Festive and Relaxing Stay
Our stay at the Royal St. Andrews Hotel over the Christmas holidays was truly exceptional. Despite the busy season, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that instantly made us feel relaxed and welcome. The staff, led by the admirable hotel manager, Difford, went above and beyond to ensure our holiday stay was special. The housekeeping service, particularly by Bonnie, was outstanding. Our room was impeccably maintained each day, providing a serene and spotless haven to return to amidst the festive hustle. Bonnie’s attention to detail and dedication significantly enhanced our comfort during the stay. The hotel’s ability to create a peaceful atmosphere during one of the busiest times of the year was impressive. The blend of festive charm and modern amenities ensured our stay was both delightful and relaxing. The festive decorations and ambience added to the joy of our holiday, making it a Christmas to remember. In conclusion, our Christmas holiday at the Royal St. Andrews Hotel was memorable for all the right reasons. The team, especially Difford and Bonnie, played a pivotal role in making our stay enjoyable and stress-free. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a warm and relaxing holiday experience.

The dog next door to the hotel barked the entire night and early in the morning. I am sure it barked throughout the day as well, but we were playing golf and at the beach during the day. The hotel is fabulous though and the staff is amazing. Do not waste your time going to The Thistle. The food is overpriced and the portions are incredibly small. The Highlander I would highly recommend. The food was good and portions in relation to price was very good.

Conveniently located opposite golf club entrance. Very well run. We were in a heritage room which was large/roomy and very quit and private. Staff were very obliging and always smiling. Great place to stay

Great international standard hotel
We have found it hard to find 4*+ accommodation in the Ndlande/Port Alfred area. This is great. Well trained friendly and effective staff and a manager who never seems to rest. Very nice facilities. Good location close to town and the beach. Quiet location next to the gold course. Felt safe and secure at all times. Once you have seen the big sights of South Africa, this is a nice part of the country to spend a week or two.

The Hotel went to great length to accommodate us, providing very comfortable bedding for our children. The room was neat and clean. Front desk staff were very kind and professional and we had really good meals. We will definitely be back!

Stylish and modern hotel with very friendly staff
Great stay at this modern and new hotel whilst visiting family for the Christmas period. It’s definitly the most stylish place to stay for anyone visiting Port Alfred. I was expecting a soulless conference hotel before arriving but was pleasently surprised at the attractive and well designed hotel building and very competent and eager to please staff members. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The best food I have ever eaten in a pub! Breakfast was also delicious. Much higher than average thats usually available. Very comfortable bed and well soundproofed rooms.

Lovely hotel with great food and staff
I was really surprised to find such a great hotel in such a small town as Port Alfred. The Royal St. Andrews consists of a modern hotel attached to a Victorian-era hotel that has been completely renovated. So you can have the English pub and inn experience (complete with antique rooms with claw-foot bath tubs) or stay in the modern wing. Either way, you have full amenities and a friendly staff to help with all your needs. I'd happily stay there again. Plus the Kowie River that runs through town is so beautiful beautiful and unspoiled, really exquisite.
