Nice Facility. You will need a car to explore this island. The winding roads will test your skills. Restaurant was ok. Friendly folks. Would stay again if we return to the island!

Wonderful Stay
We were very pleased overall with our stay at Acorsonho Apartamentos. Everything was very clean and the property is well looked after. It was too cool when we were there to use the outdoor pool (it wasn't heated) but I really enjoyed the indoor one. It was warm and always very clean. The hotel provides nice, large towels to use at the pool and you can also take these towels off of the property to use at the hot springs or at the beach. This was very handy as we didn't need to bring our own beach towels from home. The beds were very comfortable although in the living room the day bed was not the most comfortable seating for watching TV, reading etc. Also, a lamp would have been helpful in the living room as there was just the ceiling light there which was not bright enough for reading or any activity which needs more direct light. There aren't any facilities onsite for doing your own laundry (just a laundry service which would tend to get quite expensive) and the closest laundromat was in Ponta Delgada. However, the apartment did have a drying rack on the balcony which would be handy if doing any hand washing. All of the staff were wonderful, extremely personable, helpful and very obliging. They couldn't do enough for you. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

Spacious and clean apartment
We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment. There were two of us and we found it to be quite spacious for just two people. Kitchen is fully equipped so you can buy groceries to self-cater if you choose. There is a large grocery store about a 5-minute drive away. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. You will need a car to get around if you stay here, but it's fairly close to the airport (15 minute drive). There is plenty of parking for guests (they have a parking lot so you don't need to park on the street). Daily housekeeping, pool towels, safe inside the room to lock valuables, comfortable and large bed.

Big apartment with well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable bed. The aoartments belong to the hotel next door. You can use the pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center of the hotel next door, which also has a 24h reception. Unfortunately there was no sign that check-in for the apartments is in the hotel, even Orbitz didn't mention that anywhere.

Outstanding vidit
We arrived at 7am and Maria Beatrice M Arruda was exceptional! Have us a room and went above and beyond to help us. We were there on a fact finding mission for information on Father's heritage. As Arruda is our last name it started a great new friendship. She helped us a taxi for touring the location of my father and grandparents home. Of course they lived there 110 years ago. She was kind and friendly. Restaurant staff also great and food was good traditional meals

The apartment we had was comfortable, but needed more seating. There was no comfortable seating for our family of three other than on the beds or the kitchen table. The miniature golf is a joke...course is out of shape and saw people given a pitching wedge to play with. No point in having this if you are going to keep it up. Hot tub was also poor. Water was barely warm and it was basically just a residential hot tub meant for two people with warm water. Overall...pleasant stay, but this hotel needs some updating.

Facility was terrific. House keeping is great. Buffet was awesome. Only issue was they need more lights in the garden and around the outdoor door for safety. All eles was terrific.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and able to communicate with us. The room was very clean. The sauna was out of service for several days but we were able to enjoy the Turkish bath.

The hotel just a regular hotel. When we arrived it was to early to check in and receptionist advised we could put our luggage in a room until the room was ready. When we came back the room was but no one to help and/or offer to take luggage to our room. Went to get pool towels and told not enough cleaned towels and asked to come back in an 1 hour. We noticed the housekeeper didn’t do much cleaning! Hair was in bedroom floor for 2 days but once we informed desk of lack of towel paper, towels and cleaning, it was better! Staff not friendly at all. I stayed the Pedras do Mar, which i believe is sister hotel, however the difference is high! Pedras do Mar decor was elegant, staff very friendly and front desk staff very helpful and always greeted us! I would not stayed at Acorsonho again nor would I recommend it.

Great hotel!
Great hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful, room spacious and well equipped. Breakfast very good, lots of lovely fresh fruit only criticism hot plates would have improved it. Didn't use the outdoor pool as the weather wasn't warm enough, but the indoor pool hot tub etc were fantastic. Due to the location(which was very scenic and quiet) a car is a necessity. A beautiful place to visit!

I loved having my own kitchen to cook in, the location was great, and the staff were terrific!!!! I didn’t like the huge cockroaches while we were there we encountered three of them in our apartment.

Spacious Apartment
My family fit in this apartment without stepping or trampling all over each other, suitcases and all. It was quiet. There was a kitchenette with pots and utensils. The breakfast was great. Loved the variety and the Azorian specialties. It is outside of Ponta Delgado. You will most likely need a rental car. The hotel/front desk can call a rental car company to meet you at the hotel and they over bikes for rent. I would stay here again.

the hotel apartment was clean and quite nice. Knives were dull and need sharpening. Living room couch, which was also a trundel bed, was not comfortable for hanging out and watching TV. At check-in, more information about the amenities of the hotel and location of everythings would have been much more helpful.

We arrived very early in the morning and were permitted to take our room at no extra charge, same for late check out. The cleaning personnel was exceptional. Our apartment had two rooms and a kitchen. Close to groceries and easy access to all attractions.

Paradise in the Azores
My first trip to Lisbon and the Azores was most pleasant. The hotel I stayed at had marvelous facilities; the staff were some of the best I've ever encountered. The view was magnificent, and the patio was perfect for relaxing and getting some rays, while the magnificent views from the patio of the countryside were like a dream, yet real. The food was great, and to top it off, the hotel provided rental car service at a reasonable rate. Without the car, I would have missed the joy of driving around this lovely island in the Azores chain. Ponta Del Gado is a serene yet bustling town with charm and warm and friendly people, just like the people in Capelas where I stayed and on the rest of the island. Here's hoping that Big Business and a cruel and depraved American Administration, as it currently is composed, won't destroy this garden and jewel off the coast of Portugal, and all other places on the planet.

Spent one night there. Check in was quick and easy. Apartment was spacious and clean. Kitchen area was nice. Pool, sauna, hot tub and Turkish bath were nice. Gym could use some improvement. Lots of broken equipment. Didn't get a chance to eat there or use other services. Great value and friendly desk staff. I would recommend this place to friends.
