Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
As a hostel, I would give the stay 4-5 stars but as a hotel only one. perhaps my understanding of the property was mistaken. My initial welcome was excellent and so I am sorry to have to give such a review as this. The room is absolutely spartan (but clean) but you are given bed sheets on arrival and expected to remove them on departure - a new experience for me at a hotel. The bed was not particularly comfortable, the wash basin had no plug and the shower had a leak so that only limited water was getting through. It also took me a very long time to realise that it was not their intention not to have cover for the windows but that there were shutters that could be lowered by means of a non-descript switch next to the door ie as far away from the windows as was possible. I was delighted to be leaving after only one night.
