Rooms were wonderful, had everything that we needed. Downtown on Main St and walking distance to Taste a wonderful restaurant and wine tasting rooms. Awesome breakfast, the best we have had for a hotel and friendly staff. Will go again

Tracey and Andrew are excellent at making everyone feel welcome. The hotel is clean and has many small wonderful touches. The two hosts let you know they’ll accommodate your requests. The room was clean with snacks and games available as well as movies on the TV. It was quiet and the plants and patio are inviting.

Loved this place!!!
Everything was perfect. I prefer softer pillows and they were a bit hard but otherwise a fantastic experience. Very accommodating and friendly.

Our local getaway
We’ve been to Rest a number of times - we love the cozy atmosphere with the fireplace in the lobby. Staff are always friendly. I just celebrated my birthday at Rest and they had a bottle of wine and a balloon waiting for me in the room. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. Love this place.

Fantastic hotel. Really friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Room had everything you could possibly need in the way of toiletries, drinks, snacks etc. The happy hour was an excellent opportunity to try some wines whilst chatting to other guests. Shame we were only staying one night!

Awesome hotel in the gold country
Highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to the gold country. The service was amazing, hotel is sparkling clean and every amenity is thought of including free snacks, evening wine, breakfast and robes in the room! Beds are comfortable and room size is ample. Wonderful experience. I will be staying here again!

I can not say enough nice things about this hotel. Andrew and the rest of the employees were simply amazing my entire stay! Andrew especially went above and beyond numerous time for me during my time at Rest Hotel. I highly recommend this lovely hotel! The room was clean and included yummy snacks. I met some of the sweetest people also. The fire pit is cozy. The breakfast included with my stay each morning was incredible with a huge variety! You won't regret staying here.

This is a beautiful small hotel. The staff is committed to a wonderful guest experience and went out of their way to ensure ours. They provide a wine tasting in the charming lobby and feature local wines. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a basket of complimentary treats. We spent a lovely evening drinking wine and chatting by the fire pit on the patio. Even the other guests were friendly. All around A experience, with a special shout-out to the personable Andrew the Awesome at the front desk.

The staff is kind and generous. They offered us our favorite kind of wine because there was some open, even though it wasn’t what was being served that night. The breakfast was fresh and high-quality. The property was clean, bright, and offered relaxed indoor seating and very pleasant outdoor patio seating. I would stay there again, absolutely.

Excellent hotel experience
Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Friendliest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They go above and beyond. The breakfast was made from scratch and delicious. Definitely not your average hotel free breakfast! I wish we would have booked another night. Came for a wedding and didn’t realize how beautiful this area is.

Spectacular Hotel in the Foothills
Stayed at Rest due to not being able to get to South Lake Tahoe and the experience was absolutely wonderful. Check-In was easy and the staff was quite friendly and very interested in your absolute comfort throughout our stay. Plenty of complimentary goodies and the breakfast was very good, with homemade pastries. I would absolutely stay at Rest again on my future day trips to the mountains.

The room was spotless and smelled amazing upon entry. Lemon grass filled the air. The staff was amazing. Lisa, Alexis, Scott and Andrew were all friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. This is a definite do again Boutique Hotel.

Birthday Trip
We had a very comfortable, large, quiet room. Big screen TV with plenty of channels to choose from. There was a wine tasting in the afternoon with tasty appetizers and we had a delicious continental breakfast.

Very nice and friendly helpful staff. Everything is well maintained and clean. Unique historical decor. Freshly baked cookies up on our arrival and delicious breakfast. Lovely place to relax, socialize or just watch TV. Lots and lots of wineries to visit very close by. Will return again some day!

Love staying at Rest
We’ve stayed at Rest 4-5 times and have recommended it to friends. The buffet breakfast in the morning is very good - lots to choose from. And the free wine tasting during happy hour is a nice touch. Fun atmosphere. During the cooler nights, there is a fireplace burning in the lobby (where the happy hour and breakfast is held). Rest owners also own Taste Restaurant next door which is an excellent restaurant.

I have always had a great experience at Rest. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located on Main Street just a short drive from various wineries. We also love having dinner at Taste, which is basically next door.

A great place to REST
The staff at Rest are amazing and really go out of the way to make their guests feel welcome and pampered. We had a great visit and wonderful meal at the partner restaurant next door. We loved all the details like complimentary wine hour with local vintners, fresh warm pastry in the morning, warm and gooey cookies in the evening, and s’mores kits for the patio fire pit, if you feel so inclined.
A surprise for my love.
Drink kits for those who don’t like wine.

Great spot for Amador County winery access!
A great place to stay for touring the Amador County wine country! Very clean and comfortable room and the service was excellent. Continental breakfast every morning and an hour of free wine tasting from a different winery in the evenings. Highly recommend

Check in was great but they have a fire pit near the first floor - where our room was - small crowd at fire pit until 11 pm. The voices were very loud where we could not sleep. Then in the middle of the night the air conditioner began leaking. So for the price if the room we were not pleased
