Antigua Superyacht Marina & Resort

10/10 Excellent

"They have unlimited water, tea, coffee and cream. The property is on a steep hill but the staff will take you up and down upon request. The view is amazing and peaceful."

Ocean Point Beach Resort & Spa - Adults Only

8/10 Good

Buccaneer Beach Club

10/10 Excellent

"Fabulous hotel. Rooms are very well decorated and very well equipped for cooking if you want to cook. Staff are all lovely. Oscar is a lovely young man and very friendly. Well placed for the beach and eating at Salt Plage. Straight out of the gate and your sunbed awaits. Very nice swimming pool as well"

Galley Bay Resort & Spa - All inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Food and service were outstanding, 5 star. We liked that the menus changed daily, particularly for dinner. Didn’t come across a single staff member that was not friendly, they genuinely seemed to care that we were happy and everyone was more than happy to talk with us. Bartenders made great drinks, not watered down and it was top shelf. We were there October 21-27, beach was pretty much empty. Property is very well kept. The beach is not like a lake, it does have waves, which we liked. Gym was nice, had what we needed. If I had any suggestions to make, enforce dress code at night (pants and shoes are required for men, but many wore shorts and flip flops to dinner) and the rooms could use a little updating (e.g., no bathroom exhaust fan), but they definitely were perfectly fine. These are very minor things. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a great vacation. We will be back next year, if not sooner!"

The Verandah Antigua - All Inclusive - Adults Only

8/10 Good

"The property seems dated but its well maintained. The staff is AMAZING. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. There is a good variety of food....you won't go hungry no matter what time it is. It's a very large property but there's cart transportation thats always available. What can be improved? (1) There is no ATM on the property, we had to venture out to find one....scary (2) its an all-inclusive resort but you have to pay to have your in-room fridge stocked...why? (3) booking our scuba dive was cumbersome...they don't offer assistance at the resort and all of the diving is on the other side of the island...approx $100 in taxi fees. Still it was a wonderful vacation and we would visit again."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Piggotts?

The best time to visit Piggotts is during the dry season, which runs from mid-December to May.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny days with comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 25°C to 30°C. This period offers ideal weather for enjoying the island's outdoor activities, such as exploring the nearby beaches or visiting historic sites like Betty's Hope. You'll find less humidity and a lower chance of rain, making for a more pleasant and predictable holiday.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will particularly appreciate the dry season. The stable weather allows for uninterrupted days by the pool or at the beach, and evenings are great for al fresco dining. This timing also aligns well with many of the island's cultural events and regattas, offering additional entertainment options.

For those considering a trip outside of the dry season, June to November is the wet season, characterised by higher humidity and a greater chance of rain showers, though these often pass quickly.
