The best areas to stay in Piamboschi are along the coastline, particularly around the Piamboschi Marina and the quieter residential areas just north of the main town. The Piamboschi Marina area is the heart of the town, offering direct access to the sea and a lively promenade. You'll find a good selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops lining Via Roma, which runs parallel to the waterfront. Many hotels here boast sea views and are only a short walk from the main beach. This area is great for couples who enjoy being at the centre of activity and appreciate easy access to dining and evening strolls. For families, the residential areas just north of the marina offer a more relaxed setting. These neighbourhoods, such as those around Via del Faro, are known for their spacious holiday apartments and villas, often with private gardens or communal pools. They provide a calm environment away from the main hustle but are still within a short walk or a quick drive to the beaches and town amenities.

The best time to go to Piamboschi is during the shoulder seasons, specifically from April to early June and again from September to October. These months offer pleasant weather, with warm days superb for exploring the Ligurian coastline and hills, but without the intense heat and larger crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find the natural beauty of the area, from the terraced vineyards to the olive groves, particularly inviting during these times, before the summer rush or after it subsides. For travellers who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or cycling, these shoulder seasons are ideal. The trails, such as those winding through the Cinque Terre National Park or along the Portofino Promontory, are more comfortable to navigate, and the milder temperatures make for a more enjoyable experience.
