Find hotels in Pflummern from £53

The best area to stay in Pflummern is the historic Altstadt (Old Town), which is the heart of the city.

The Altstadt is characterised by its cobbled streets and well-preserved mediaeval buildings. You'll find the main market square, Marktplatz, at its centre, surrounded by traditional guesthouses and local eateries. The iconic Pflummern Cathedral is also a prominent landmark within this area, making it very walkable for exploring on foot.

Couples often find the Altstadt particularly appealing due to its romantic setting. They can enjoy leisurely strolls through the narrow lanes, discover hidden courtyards, and dine in cosy restaurants, all within easy reach of their accommodation.

For those looking for a slightly more modern yet still convenient experience, the area just outside the Altstadt walls, particularly along the Ringstraße, offers a good balance. Here you'll find hotels with contemporary amenities and easier access to parking facilities, while still being a short walk from the historic centre.

The best time to visit Pflummern is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) to enjoy pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these shoulder seasons, the weather is typically mild and comfortable, superb for exploring the Baden region's countryside and vineyards. You'll find the natural landscapes at their most appealing, with spring blossoms or autumn colours. This period also avoids the peak summer tourist rush, leading to a more relaxed experience.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the serene atmosphere of these times. You can enjoy leisurely walks through the vineyards, explore historic towns without the hustle and bustle, and savour local cuisine in a more intimate setting.

Families travelling with children will also find these times ideal. The milder temperatures are more comfortable for outdoor activities, and attractions are less crowded, making visits more enjoyable and less stressful.
