Set in the delightful village of Newby, Garden Cottage is a well-presented detached cottage situated in the unspoilt Eden Valley. This area is one of Cumbria’s best-kept secrets, with picture postcard villages and beautiful rolling countryside. It is ideal for walking and cycling and offers fishing on the River Eden. Nearby attractions include Brougham Castle, Acorn Bank Garden and Watermill, Rheged discovery centre and Wetheriggs Pottery. Garden Cottage is easily accessible from the M6 and just a stone’s throw from the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Scottish Borders. The market town of Appleby is nearby, famous for its horse fair, and the larger town of Penrith is approximately 20 minutes’ drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
