Certainly nowhere near the 950 Baht walk-in price, (I got a deal so was happy with the price, just), The furniture was ready to collapse & under the bed had not been cleaned in months, (A baby's bottle underneath for starters). Noisy mezzanine 1st. floor. People banging constantly being locked out. Reception letting people into the hotel in the middle of the night who were not stopping there. The balcony constantly flooded. Small sink with ill-fitting plug complete with small low toilet bowl, Shower above the toilet bowl. (Weird but I got used to it). Front steps disabled unfriendly. Back Fire Escape steps blocked all day with dirty linen. Having said all that I would stop there again because of the area & providing the price was right. The cleaners were polite & respected the "Do Not Disturb" sign. Hotel OK Overall not bad for the price. Good central location. Housekeeping was not consistent. I was disappointed that the night porter was too busy playing games on his phone to get a towel for me, when housekeeping had missed it. Same porter always seemed to be watching soccer or on guest computers or on his phone. No guest service at all. Even the Night Reception couldn't get him to do his job. I was shown 3 rooms before choosing one which was not full of roaches. I later found roaches in my choice also but complained no more since there 2 days only. Roaches are also in the hallways especially at night. Maid followed me room to room complaining in thai to me of my expectations and what did i want or expect. Bed and bedding were very old faded,worn , smelly,permanently stained and etc Furnishings in room are antique and crumbling. Toilet bowl was very old and horrible with stains,odor, and you name it. Sawasadee qualifies as a skid rowe hotel for its filth evident in unreplaced unupgraded common fixtures. It is filthy! I give sawasadee my vote for worst hotel in the city of pattaya but at a premium price since i was charged almost 30 dollars per day.The area is fair but compacted. Breakfast area is shared with roaches. Pattaya city should close this one down as a symbol of pride and support of tourism.
