I love this hotel. It us an oasis when visiting the LA area. Tucked into a Pasadena neighborhood this gem has beautiful grounds and great rooms. We did not have a view this time but some rooms offer great city views.
My son and I stayed here while attending a baseball game in Los Angeles. There was no elevator, but that was not a problem for us. I believe the hotel only had two floors. The staff was VERY friendly every step of the way. The room was small, but very clean and adequate. The location was near many small shops and restaurants. Parking was at an adjacent bank, and we were given passcode for the back door to the hotel for easier entrance. Parking was also free. It was a good place to stay if you don't mind an older building.
good quiet area, clean rooms & comfortable beds. Nice basic breakfast. No outside noise, my daughters & I stayed here for 1 night felt very safe. Lots of nearby shopping, restaurants, grocery store..etc kind of a downtown area. I had ordered dinner to go from a restaurant and they forgot to put utensils in..ugh. Went down to reception window and asked if they had any forks which they were able to give. Its a great place to stay even if you were going to stay more than 1 night.
We needed an economy stay. The cost was a little more than what we would have liked, by comparison around the area, it fit the bill. The place seemed a little rag-tag, although with a nice wood floor. The the front desk clerk was nice, the room clean and comfortable, bathroom clean, and breakfast was more decent than expected. The location was close to where we needed to be, close to shopping, and wonderful staff let us in a little earlier than expected.
We stayed here because our son's track team was staying here for the CCAA conference at CSU LA. Although the hotel was over run with athletes, you couldn't tell. Very quiet, clean hotel with great breakfast and lounge. The room was huge, and the bed was very comfy after a long flight. Also nice that it is close to a great shopping/dining area.
Pasadena sees life through rose-colored glasses each New Year. The city hosts the annual Tournament of Roses Parade, along with the Rose Bowl Game college football championship. Pasadena also tends its roots at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Aside from its original Gutenberg Bible and Canterbury Tales, the institution is regarded for its 120 acres of gardens.
