"Clean room, everything works. Quiet. Nice amenities. Staff was rude when I checked in, gave him my Drivers ID but could not "find" my name on list of expedia reservations. He told me that it was not his problem but mine. He eventually showed me a list of names and mine was the first on the list of reservations. everything went smooth after that. Not sure if I would return there."

"This was an interesting place. Low cost in an area that can be expensive. Nothing fancy, no breakfast. Towels were adequate but not luxury by any means. Working person's place. But it was clean. It felt safe with its limited access set up. Rooms circled the parking lot with a narrow entrance that passed by the office. Fridge with real freezer compartment and microwave. Good mattress and pillows. Basic needs met at a low price.

"Binta was the best in accommodating me and my family. She was able to help me with an early check in Friday afternoon so we can rest before our dinner reservations and seeing a Broadway play for my wife’s birthday as well as extending my check out to help us walk around and shop in NYC Saturday morning. I called earlier in the week and she gave me her name and when I called back and asked for her she was always available and accessible. I would recommend everyone to visit and stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites just for the excellent customer experience and service. "
"The hotel is in a great location for anyone who is wanting to hit the main attractions of New York. Brilliant for first timers as you can access most things by foot or get the subway which is also close.
I can confirm that the street is very quite despite it being so close to times square. You take a turn, walk for abit and you enter a very quite street.
I am a very noise sensitive sleeper and had no issues with outside noise. However, the walls in between the rooms are very thin and are mainly a problem if someone decides to have a late shower then it sounds like a water fountain next to your head.
With that all being said, i'd recommend anyone to stay here if its there first time in New York as overall I can't complain."
"Checking in took forever because there was only one person working and nobody else arrived to help, so we ended up leaving our bags with an employee so we could get to a show. Came back around 11pm for check-in and was helped much faster. The clerk nicely upgraded us from a room with one bed to one with two beds, which was really nice. There's no microwave or mini fridge in the room, and only a tiny trash can. Our bedroom door didn't lock every time so we constantly had to make sure it was locking properly. Staff was very friendly and helpful (minus the initial check-in), the gym was really nice, everything was very clean, and the hotel is located right in the middle of several Broadway theaters, which was super efficient for us. Would definitely stay here again!"
"The property is definitely not 4 star. The bathroom was very basic. Bathroom amenities were bare minimum. There was very little sound proof for the room. You can hear the door opening and closing in the hallway clearly which is very annoying! The location is pretty good though. And the beds were very comfortable."
"Room shower was not a good design. Water poured out within 30 secs of turning the shower on. No lotion, slippers, or water available, had to call for slippers ( much needed since the floors had a lot of dust and turned the bottom of the slippers gray/ black in less than a few hours of wearing it). There were wet spots on the sheets that smelled very heavily of laundry detergent upon arrival. Rooftop and other lounges around the hotel were very nice."
