Such a great experience being able to sleep with the sounds of the night creatures and the nightly rainfall. The staff was very accommodating and friendly
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I was happy to be there at the same time as the founder, and he was gracious and kind, offering to lead meditation in the morning. Of the beaten bath and down to earth, this is a great place to stay if you like a
This is the real Hawaii! The property is located in a relatively remote area about 30 minutes south of Pahoa. Beautiful setting in the middle of a forest not too far from the beach. Isaac Hale Park is within walking distance and although the beach isn’t very safe for swimming there is a pond there that you can swim in. The accommodations are primitive and like camping but Mango Cabin was very spacious and the beds were VERY comfy. It is off-grid but there is electricity to the cabins. The cabins are screened and ours had a ceiling fan that kept us cool at night. There are community bathrooms and a kitchen but we never had any issues and I get up multiple times in the night.i would highly recommend, at a minimum, to eat breakfast at the community kitchen before heading out for the day. Very healthy with most ingredients grown on-site. We had a great time and staff (and other vacationers) are very friendly and helpful. Great place to disconnect and discover what “Island Time” really is. Highly recommend!
The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and quick to respond. The check-in experience was seamless, and their actions truly exemplified what it means to have the aloha spirit! I can’t recommend this property enough and will definitely be coming back in the future.
This is a WOOFER site and not an ecological center. They are grossly exaggerating what it really is. Misinformation, misrepresentation- it misses on all counts. We had to pay to stay elsewhere and working to get a refund from this place.
This is a unique place, and I enjoyed it very much - and hope to return. It was a relaxing stay and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I truly enjoyed the community feel. Thank you!
We were warmly welcomed by Peter and enjoyed the experience of our natural surroundings including the nightly gecko serenade and the community's pet rabbit.
We were nervous about staying here given some of the reviews, but we absolutely LOVED it and will stay again. It was a great place with a welcoming staff. Even my teenagers loved this experience. If to stay, make sure you are there on a Wednesday so you can go to uncle Roberts farmers market. Wifi was also better than we have at home.
It's beautiful place to get of the grid and relax. They have Yoga in the morning, breakfast and dinner (family style for a little extra- vegan). It is a earthy place to stay. My cabin was adorable. It is very much a retreat atmosphere.
Glamping in an orchard, a short walk to the beach.
A unique, rustic experience. Sleep in a comfortable but basic cabin surrounded by fruit trees and the sound of birds and frogs waking you in the morning. Walk down to the beach and warm springs at Isaac Hale Park or join the friendly staff for guided meditation.
It was one of our most memorable stay in Hawaii as we travelled to different islands. The owners of this property are a very friendly couple and the staff was also great and friendly!
They have yummy vegan dinner in the evenings where you get to meet other visitors as well as the staff on campus with whom we ended up having interesting conversations over dinner!

Courtyard Mariott Kona
Wife and I stayed 6 nights. Partial ocean view had a nice balcony and view. Great pool and spa area with very efficient food and beverage area. Happy hour provided great value food. Parking securely monitored and conveniently located. Would definitely stay again, property could do with a refresh in near future.
This location provided a very relaxing getaway, and was a decent distance out of the city for those who want to stay off the beaten path. The price was great, and the accommodations were nice. Exactly what you would expect from the photos, with well-kept grounds, and the unique location. The only negative we experienced was the feeling that breakfast, at $10 for granola and a few other items, should have been included with the room cost.
