Stunning property in an enviable location in the city of Oxford
Beautifully converted 19th century stable block. The property is full of character and charm and is situated in an ideal and special location in the old part of Headington, next to Bury Knowle Park.
A short bus ride from Oxford city centre (2 miles), it also has the advantage of being a couple of minutes walk to the main Headington shops, all the main Oxford hospitals and close to bus links to London, Heathrow and Gatwick, whilst being in a quiet and peaceful location surrounded by greenery.
THE SPACE
The property has been recently converted to an exceptionally high standard and is situated in a fantastic location overlooking Bury Knowle Park, one of the prettiest parks in Oxford. The living space is all on one level, which makes it easily accessible. It will comfortably sleep up to 4 adults and a baby. The property is ideally located, only a short drive or bus ride away from the town centre and with easy access to both the M40 and A34. It is an ideal rental for visiting the city and also as a base to visit other stunning locations nearby like London, Blenheim Palace, the Cotswold (just to name a few). Also perfect for people that require somewhere to stay for a longer period of time if on business visiting Oxford University or any of the hospitals (John Radcliffe, Churchill, Nuffield or Manor).
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The two bedrooms have double/king size beds.
FRESHENING UP There is a spacious shower room and the main bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with bathtub.
EATING A stunning kitchen has been fitted with all modern appliances (Induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine are available).
RELAXING The open plan living area is perfect for entertaining and family time, the lounge area comfortably seats 4 people and has a SMART flat-screen TV, allowing you to watch live or catch-up TV or surf the internet. The garden is a fantastic outside space, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening.

PARKING The property has secure off-road parking available for one car in a shared parking area.
BEDDING & TOWELS Bedding & towels are provided and replacement sets will be offered for rentals of 7 days or longer.

A bit tricky to find, but once we did, our stay was perfect - charming and clean. Everything we needed was a short walk away in Headington, and Oxford was a short ride away by uber or bus.
We love eclectic accommodation and a converted stable fits the bill. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this property and would definitely stay again.
Terrific location for two couples exploring Oxford, Blenheim, Avebury, Cotswolds et al from this lovely converted stable. Beautifully appointed and maintained. A quick and easy bus ride into central Oxford, and an easy drive to the ring road to explore further afield.
Very neat, clean, well equipped in quiet location with parking and easy bus access to oxford. Agree that a couple of pictures and cushions would make it less sterile.
Perfect location for this beautiful property. Two local pubs, perfect for an evening drink and bite to eat. Short 5 minute walk to the local shops and the bus stop into central Oxford. Craig was super helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Headington - we totally fell in love with the area.
This is the cutest little place situated on a quiet street across from a fun park for the kids. The house was clean and tidy, large, and fit our family well. Craig the host was nice enough to see us roll in with kids and brought a bucket full of toys for them to play with. Both Craig and his wife were super helpful from start to finish. By the time we were done, we felt like we were leaving a family members house. 5 stars and more!

Good Location
Property was as described, easy to walk to supermarket, shops and restaurants and also the bus into Oxford.
However, check in process was difficult. Check in was 4 pm. We got there a little after 4 and could not contact the owners until 5:30. They there was a big rain storm and water came in through the chimney and water was a problem, although the owners were home they never answered our call, just like the check in process.
A great spot to start your many day trips to beautiful Oxford and surrounding villages. A nice place to come home to every evenings - The Stables has all you will need!
Really practical and attractive accommodation - a fine combination. Would be good for families and also 2 couples. Relaxed and friendly hosts. Recommend!
The hosts are very helpful, responsive and friendly. The place is immaculate, well designed with plenty of natural light. It was so convenient being so close to grocery store or local pub (2 min walk each way). Headington is a beautiful area of Oxford. We really enjoyed our stay.
The house was lovely and well located in walking distance to grocery store and coffee shops. Also about a 15 minute drive into Oxford itself. It was modern, with lots of space, and very clean and private. The check in process was easy. Overall we really enjoyed staying at this property.
We loved staying at The Stables. We have a 7 year old daughter, and she had a fantastic time playing at the park across the way.
It was the perfect location for us. Very easy to get into Oxford Centre on the bus, and it only took about 10 minutes. So many buses that came often, it was never a problem.
The place was neat, clean and easy to use, and family friendly. We would stay again!
The Stables were comfortable and welcoming. The heating was excellent for a cold March weekend and the facilities were very good. Managed very well with disabled partner in a wheelchair - no handles in bathroom though.
Very clean and nice - needs a tad atmosphere as per in paintings on the walls as its quite sterile and perhaps ice in the freezer, a small milk in the fridge and a small bowl of fruit like we get in the States as a real welcome. But apart from those finer details - it was all good.

Although the photo seemed "cold" the Stables was quite comfortable. The hosts were great (Craig and Dominique). The location was perfect for us outside Oxford in community called Headington. It took 10 minutes for the bus to go into Oxford proper and gave us the feeling of living in England. I highly recommend it!
Loved staying here, it was clean and convenient with the added bonus of some outdoor space to enjoy. Close to shops and transport, with plenty of local food options within walking distance.
