Only 1 room key was available which meant extra navigating if someone wanted to buy water/snacks etc and the rest wanted to stay behind as keycard needed for lights and air conditioning. Room was clean with even little stove . Staff were responsive to texts and info booklet was helpful. The thin mattress is overs wooden board and this made it v uncomfortable for a side-sleeper like me. I felt bruised over my hip bones and couldn’t figure out why but my husband felt the same and we realized why. We got fooled by the nice images thinking it's a traditional Japanese ryokan. When I arrived there was no front desk, check in was just getting the key thru mail box - which was fine. The thing I cannot stand is how cold the room is, despite turning on the AC on heating mode at the highest temperature. There was no way to sleep there. We ended up leaving the hotel in the middle of the night and booked another one.
