Pros: Great staff, wonderful common areas and great location.
Cons: The rooms are ready for a makeover.
The hotel staff were all fantastic. The rooms, however, are beginning to get tired. Ripped curtains, worn carpet and aged mattresses were somewhat disappointing. The common areas were well kept and nicely updated.

Pros: Absolutely nothing
This was the worst in our 7 days of vacation. There were tip envelopes in the rooms which is tacky! When I called about my room service charge, they couldn't find the information and asked if they could call me back later. I also called about a charge and the person said "what? We haven't charged you?" I said "well the transaction went through at 4am this morning, I would just like to know what it is a for". She told me to call American express and dispute it. Thank heavens I didn't because it was parking--which i figured out after a 1/2 hour of thinking about what it it could be, which is also a ridiculous rate. Internet is a separate charge too, which is ridiculous. Plan to add close to $100 for normal inclusions at other hotels. Overall very subpar for a Marriott with unhelpful staff. Also linens were very hard ans scratchy. VERY disappointed.

Was really nice, liked the location and that it wasn't all spread out. Room clean, service good, meals good.

Wonderful gem of a hotel with clean spacious room

Posted 04-Apr-2016
Pros: See above
Cons: $25 parking fee. But that's really the case with a lot of htoels
Location: Beautiful bay view. Centrally located to get where you need to go on the 405, or head down to Newport.
Exceeded my expectations. It has a very clean and luxurious feeling for this price. I was worried about freeway noise but it is non existent. The pool is amazing, and part of it is indoors so you can avoid sun burns. Very clean gym and facilities. I saw cleaning folks at all times trying to keep it actively clean. The kitchen/bar makes excellent food at a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet is pricey, but it was truly a gourmet experience with amazing high end food and made-to-order omelletes, pancakes, sandwiches etc. They even made a monkey pancake for my daughters with M&Ms, and the creation was something that I could post on on Pinterest. They take a lot of pride but without a snooty feel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and clean. It was truly relaxing not having to worry about anything and be hassle free. They also have 2 free computers to use which saved me for a work thing I had to get done even though I forgot my laptop at home. The staff are very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. I never got more than 2 rings when calling anyone, and they spent a lot of time with me each time at the front desk or at the phone to help me order food, plan my day, and find resources for me in the area. Will stay here everytime I visit L.A. from now on

Roomy and dog friendly

Posted 19-Feb-2016
Pros: On-site restaurant, dog – friendly, good location,
Cons: All the charges for parking dock fee and Internet really make it a little pricey We were staying at one of the suites and seems like they could hav
This was reasonably priced and a nice place to stay with her dog. The Front desk clerk allowed us to waive the Internet fee by having us join the Marriotts reward program. . Downside is they do charge for everything. Dog fee is very expensive, parking is $25 a day, and Internet is $13 a day if you're not a Marriott points member It all adds up

Overly pricy for quality. $25 a day parking fee!

Ok not great. Lots of additional fees even though room was already pricy.

Bad room service

Posted 16-Feb-2016
The room was spectacular, the hotel was clean and everything I imagined. What disappoint me and the reason I won't be going back is the simple fact that I ordered a bottle of champagne during check in, instead of being shown a menu so I could make my decision, I was just sent up an $85 bottle one of their more expensive bottles instead of an $55 bottle instead of letting me choose
