Average stay

Posted 22-Sep-2016
Pros: The town it is in is very nice
Cons: Staff manners
Location: Lots of small shops and eateries close by
Kind of rude staff all around from the manager that never answers the phone to the voice operator that is unable to switch people in under 15 mins to the staff in general were below what I expect at a Marriott. Ok hotel in an ok location but not sure I will ever come back again.

Hotel Marriott Bayview Newport Beach

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Pros: Rooms were a good size and clean
Cons: The patio area is not inviting at all
Location: The location is not great if you wanted to walk and enjoy a dinner (You must drive everywhere) there are many restaurants with in 10 minutes
The hotel did not have an inviting patio to socialize with family and friends tables were left for hours without being cleared or cleaned There are no restaurants close by this is a business are You also have to pay 28 dollars per day to park your vehicle (ridiculous)

Nice hotel on the backbay.

Posted 06-Sep-2016
Very nice hotel on the backbay not far from the airport. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. It was Labor Day weekend and I was glad to be removed from the crazy traffic, impossible parking, and general insanity of the beachfront hotels. Bought the package that included breakfast. It was excellent (only wish it had included mimosas). My only two complaints: plug for the tub didn't work, so I couldn't enjoy a relaxing bath; at dusk I had the doors and windows open to enjoy the fresh ocean air, but had to close them due to the gas smell coming in from all the fire lits lit below. Oh! Also the parking fee was ridiculously high.

Nice hotel but service was just ok

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Pros: Comfortable bed, attractive lobby and restaurant.
Cons: The price. Good hotel but for the price I felt I should have been closer to the beach or at least had a better view.
Location: Typical Orange County location with a luxury car dealership across the street and Fashion Island down the road a bit.
This is a nice hotel that overlooks an interior bay. Half the rooms overlook a parking lot, which was my view. There is some charming outside seating with firepits and a small pool. The pool is accessed through the lobby/restaurant, which translated during my visit to a fat, shirtless dude walking in and out of the restaurant area repeatedly on his way, presumably, to the pool. The room was immaculate and quite large. The bed was amazing. I rent suites so my kids can have a separate sleeping area. I did not like this suite as compared to others because the door that divides the rooms was opaque glass panes, which let in a lot of light. The restaurant was okay for dinner. The breakfast was really good. Overall a nice hotel but I would not choose it again due to the high price, poor view, and distance from the beach.

Beautiful Hotel Near Bay

Posted 21-Jul-2016
Pros: Location. Easy access to beach, shopping, freeway, nearby other towns such as Costa Mesa and Irvine.
Cons: No complaints here
Location: So Many options of things to do. We went to the Orange County Fair and several beaches and great eateries.
Great Newport Beach location within very close proximity to the Beach/ Newport Pier. Also not too far from Corona Del Mar beach. About 25 minutes away driving. We asked for a Bay view and paid $20 upgrade but I would say it was well worth it to look out every morning and watch the sun rise over the water. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future. Highly Recommended.

Noisy, horrible views.

Posted 27-Jun-2016
Very noisy rooms, horrible views. Staff was courteous and friendly. However the rooms have paper thin walls and the rooms labeled 'room with view' only have a view of the bay if you stand in the far corner of the balcony.
