"Very clean and beautiful around property and pools. The rooms in the main building could use some updating but the upgraded room in the new wing by the garden was perfect for the price! We will stay at Riu again in the future for sure! "

"The hotel, amenities, and staff were great. We visited during the solar eclipse and the place was completely full and there were no issues. We traveled with three small kiddos and there were plenty of activities for them. The only draw back are the sales tactics poolside for liquor and some of the staff are pretty aggressive with their sales approach."

"I loved this hotel. The staff were awesome and the location was ideal for me. It is in the golden zone between the marina and the historic centro which make is a great place to start an excursion in either direction. With the many cheap transportation options all attractions are 10-15 minutes away. The only potential issue that some visitors may experience is the noise, particularly in rooms that have door which face the street. "

"Great location right on the beach, great staff. Lots of great dining options in the area. Local bus out front. Beach can get noisy at times, but quite at night. They seem to loose everyones reservation so be prepared to take extra long at checkin. There is no WIFI as advertised. Its only a hotspot from a cell phone by the front desk only. No wifi anywhere else. Hotel needs a major renovation, looks like the rooms haven't been updated since the 80's."

"Our stay at El Cid Marina Beach hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff are all so pleasant and attentive. The staff is all amazing, helpful, and kind. I've never experienced comparable service. The resort itself was fantastic. Being able to take the water taxi over to the beach was great. Beach was beautiful and peaceful. In our week there, we barely left the beach. For us the highlight of the trip was seeing the total eclipse from our balcony. Could not have asked for anything more. We (husband, myself, and twin teenage daughters) loved everything and girls want to know when we can go back. Highly recommend!"
