Check in was...weird. Had to wait for 20 mins after being told we'd be helped in 5 minutes, but we did show up at 11 AM before check-in officially began. No instructions or tips on anything at the hotel were given to us (e.g. policies, amenities, restaurant, nearby stuff), plus they didn't even take a credit card. After that though, everything was fine. Room #2 was somewhat spartan: bed, shelves, a rack on which to hang/dry clothes, and a bench for putting bags on, but no chairs or closet. Everything was super clean: linens were changed and floors were mopped every day. No black-out curtains on the windows (sheer curtains only) so bring a sleeping mask if you're prone to waking up in bright daylight at 6:30 AM. AC kept room cool and it was quiet. Private courtyard had direct sun at certain times of day but also had nice shade where you could relax in the 2 chairs. Didn't go in the pool but it was right outside the room. The groundskeepers were constantly cleaning the falling leaves out of it. Food at the restaurant was very good. Ate dinner a few times, and had breakfast most days I stayed there.
Staff were all pretty cool. Hung out with them at the hotel bar on many nights.
