"The room was clean, older (1928 per the hosts yelling at me on the phone) but clean. The property is pretty. HOWEVER, the surrounding area leading up to the house was homeless lining the streets. When I was given my check in instructions, that's where I was told about street parking. The photos conveniently leave out all of the street parking where the cars line bumper to bumper. That's not shown in the aerial view. I am a female traveler who didn't feel comfortable parking and walking in the dark. Neighbors have signs up everywhere "no trespassing" "under surveillance". When I contacted the host it was simply to inform that I had chosen not to stay due to safety concerns and the condition of parts of the room. I didn't take photos of anything because I didn't intend to escalate anything. I had no reason, until the host called me. The host of this listing cannot get his emotions under control. I was instantly met with hostility. A female guest is saying they are not staying because of safety concerns, a male host calling with aggression isn't the answer! Enjoy your stay as long as you have no complaints. HOST-update the parking info on listing so we can decide. When a guest brings something to your attention - take a breath rather than call and unload on them. I would not have escalated this past the initial message had you not called and spoke to me the way you did. I understand pride in your property and it's your business but your behavior confirmed my concerns."

"This was a very nice stay with an excellent cleaning staff and a customer service phone staff that helped me get checked in. Checking in was a horror story as I do not have a smart phone and did not have internet available as I was travelling. NO WHERE in the emails I received at home indicated that I needed a smart phone to check-in. The reservation was made and paid in full (for a stay on 11 May 2026) in Dec 2025. The property was spectacular in every way, but the check in experience makes it highly unlikely I would stay at Jaxon again. The property lacks a front desk and requires technology expertise by the customer. As I was unloading my car another arriving guest was frustrated trying to check in even with her smart phone. Luckily Achillia the housekeeper was still there and helped her also. Please fix your check in procedures for us old flip phone users as the hotel was the nicest of all the ones we stayed in during the entire weeks' vacation."

"My bathroom was a mess. The toilet was leaking water. Maintenance went and fixed it. The problem wasn’t fixed, it was still leaking water. I had to call the front desk two more times to send someone to fix it. Then the water wasn’t draining in the tub. Maintenance had to come again to fix it. It was not unclogged all the way. The bathroom floor and the entrance inside the room was dirty. The worst experience I had from staying at an hotel. The front desk staff were really nice and professional."

"Super cute rental. Located in a nice residential part of town. Easy to drive to local markets and beaches. Very clean. Kitchen stocked with essentials to cook meals at home. Was great to have a pool and the pool patio was very relaxing. Upgraded shower was fantastic. Pull out couch was not comfortable for sleeping. Owner responds quickly and is easy to reach."

"House was perfect for our large family reunion. House was clean and there was plenty of room for 15 guests. Great pool area, we spent a lot of time at the pool and the outdoor bar was a great addition and got a lot of use. There were plenty of lounge chairs and towels. Host was very responsive."
