"I really wanted to like this place. From the photos, it looks like a desert oasis. In reality? More like a “has potential, but no one’s checked on it since 2007” situation. Let’s start with the room… “Worn” would be generous. The carpet looked like it had lived a full and complicated life and was ready for retirement. The back of the toilet was cracked (always comforting), the shower was rough, and the tile work was a mix of broken and stained. Even the bedding had seen better days. The overall vibe was somewhere between “dated” and “this room has definitely hosted a few questionable life decisions.” Sleep situation (aka unexpected midnight entertainment): Our 11- and 12-year-olds took the hide-a-bed, which—surprise!—started folding up on them in the middle of the night. It was briefly funny in a “well, this is a story” kind of way, but less funny when you remember everyone has a long day ahead. Nothing like a mechanical failure to spice up your sleep. The water park… This was supposed to be the highlight. Unfortunately, it felt just as tired as the room. Our kids—who are normally all-in on anything involving water—lasted about an hour before calling it quits. That tells you everything you need to know. Also, the check-in process for the water park? A mystery. There’s signage… somewhere… theoretically. We didn’t see it, walked in like normal humans, and were immediately stopped by a staff member who was clearly not having her best day. The whole experience felt more like "

"Borderline tolerable. Multiple shortcomings on basics: e.g., hot water in early AM barely lukewarm for shower before Uber pickup; HVAC unit not only noisy but rattled so much that it shook the headboard of the nearby bed (no kidding: the headboard shook when cooling kicked in); big hole in drywall behind main door had been patched but never painted. Etc. It shouldn't be hard to do better. Passed on the pre-packaged breakfast spread for a nearby First Watch."

"Everything was clean and inviting. Staff was kind and very accommodating. Check-in was quick and trouble free. The instructions on the blue card needs to be updated especially about how to login to wi-fi, as thete was no access code to input. Have to say it was strange having to leave a room key in the slot on the wall to have power. We assumed that was to save energy by not having lights on whenever you leave the room. Breakfast had great variety and offerings. Coffee was EXCELLENT and creamers were good. Overall we would definitely stay here again if the need arises!"

"I gave it two stars because the staff was friendly. That was good, because after two requests and during the four day stay, our room was never made up or cleaned. We had to get our own towels and TP. There were no bugs, but I’m surprised with a large gap around the door, which also let in smoke from those standing outside smoking.The bedding was clean despite the old cigarette burn holes in the sheet and blanket. Floor was dirty. bathroom was dirty."
