This hotel is very nice and well maintained to high standards. Small balcony off our room. Comfortable bed, although the pillows were a little too firm. Good location with a 10 minute walk to several inexpensive Asian restaurants. Would definitely recommend it for a one or two night stop in Canberra.
Stayed two nights. Had few problems with internet connection, was slow and disconnected occasionally. Television was not that much of great quality. The atrium bar was really nice. Overall, good hotel.
Beautiful new hotel that still has that new carpet smell! We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was huge! They also had room service coming from the steakhouse restaurant below the hotel, so the food was good and not overpriced. Staff were very helpful and lovely. Location was great - right in the middle of everything, plus you could walk to cafes & restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Couldn't really say a bad thing about this hotel.
Having stayed at the same premise several times, in several guises, have to say not much has changed since it was the renovated Rydges, with new decor of course.
Except for the decor, there is nothing that distinguishes this hotel from any others.
Central and easy to get to businesses in the Canberra CBD and as parking is fairly easy it also easy to get across to the Parliamentary precinct. Rooms are comfortable and have good amenities. Many restaurants and mini-marts are close by.
We were pleasantly welcomed by the staff who provided us with good information. All rooms are conveniently located and we appreciated the double glazed balcony door and window shutters. These features ensured a quiet peaceful sleep.

Northern Canberra is one of the oldest areas of Australia's capital city. Lake Burley Griffin sits to the south, while Mt. Majura Nature Reserve and the Australian War Memorial are to the east. The area is also home to the Canberra Museum & Gallery and Thoroughbred Park, a must visit for horse-racing enthusiasts. Canberra International Airport (CBA) is to the southeast.
