"This hotel is truly unique! On the cliff overlooking the sea and next to the ruins of King Arthur’s castle. Dinner was excellent (borsch and venison). Breakfast was fine. Staff are helpful and friendly. The owner had even upgraded my room. Plenty of onsite parking. Incredible location!"

"Hoped to stay in old part, not quite the same atmosphere in newer section! Toilet was dirty and mud on floor on arrival. Ordered cheese pasty and got a meat one! Too late to change. Fish and chips were excellent, small portion plenty for each of us. A lovely place to stay, recommend read Daphne DuMauriers book. Great position to explore both coast lines. "

"Very basic rooms , tiny television, not a lot of room to move about and no air con. Rooms also back onto driving range so can hear the range"

"Do not stay here. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the owner was incompetent - there was no apparent cause but for around an hour it kept tripping again so eventually I tried (without success) to sleep in my car. The hotel was dirty, no-one was available to help/serve breakfast etc, items such as milk in the kitchen fridge were out of date. It is a very old unmodernised property."

"The staff were great at the Bude very welcoming and knowledgeable, great room, quiet, spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend "
