The hotel w as better than we expected, well worth the prize tag. It us away from the main town and the access to the beach is great... Easterbrook you see the sunset from the private beach. You will be blown away. The road to get there is a dirt road in the last kilometre but do not let this deter you. A piece of advice, try the shrimp hole nearby for lunch or dinner.

We booked our holiday as a special treat for our tenth anniversary and had never travelled to Costa Rica before, so we were not sure what to expect or the standard of the hotel as it was rated a mere two and a half stars on Expedia. We thought that we would take a chance and book 5 nights at Casa Chameleon Las Catalinas as the description and images looked amazing, however we left on our travels expecting it not to live up to expectations as per many hotels that we have booked and stayed at, you...

Outstanding views over both the ocean and reserve. The attention to detail in the design and fit of Lagarta Lodge is fabulous, the staff could not have been more helpful.

Luna Azul has a very welcoming atmosphere and staff, beautiful gardens full of wildlife and a pool with great rainforest and distant pacific views, particularly at sunset. We loved the open air restaurant and lounge/bar. Breakfast is tasty and substantial and excellent dinners are chosen from a blackboard menu which changes daily. The 'sofa bed' was large and comfortable and could be configured as two singles so the room was great for a family of 4. The location is very peaceful and extremely...

A fabulous small Eco friendly hotel nestled in the trees behind the superb beach. The staff can not do enough to help you and the restaurant serves delicious food!

Outstanding location and setup….the team were all very helpful and organised..faultless and couldn’t recommend highly enough

Lovely little hotel five minutes from beach. Comfy beds, great bedding and towels, super pool, fantastic breakfast and wonderful staff.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. We arrived early for check in but they were very accommodating and allowed us to check which was super helpful. Michelle, Stephanie & Deijan were the front desk staff and they were all great. All the staff were. The hotel has access directly onto the beach, secure parking and a lovely little pool. Beds were comfortable and rooms had everything you might need.

A beautiful stay in Guayacan. Staff very helpful. Grace was our favourite, she spent time teaching our children Spanish and made us feel very welcome every time. We had an issue with the water but this wouldn't put us off staying here again. A unique experience that we really loved. Food was delicious, go half board if you can. The rooms need an extra air con unit on the bunkbeds side, but if you have the unit on all day and shut the curtains it's fine. Don't be put off by the drive up to the...

Guacamaya lodge is a blissful and relaxed oasis. The incredible beach is a stones throw from the hotel and is safe and exceptionally clean. The staff at the hotel are first class and the food and drink of a high standard. Bernie and Alice are the most helpful hosts offering lots of advice and great conversation in a multitude of languages. The room we had was spacious and clean with a great view to the ocean, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The hotel is a little remote so a hire car is...

It really is the Garden of Eden. Beautiful tropical lush pool area and restaurant. Staff absolutely wonderful. Could not do enough for you. Food and homemade lemonade delicious. Loved the private beach garden area. Beautiful sunsets. Easy access to Tamarindo resort area. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful, quiet, romantic hotel on a rugged but stunning tidal beach. Located 5mins cab ride or 20minutes walk from the main town Tamarindo, a busy young but vibrant town during the evening. The service we received from all the staff at Cala Luna was outstanding, Luz it was a pleasure to meet you.
