Comfy bed, nice linens and towels, good seating options including a chair in the bedroom. Easy thermostat control and a sweetly stocked kitchen. Nice street with cool neighbors and a quick walk to the N Charleston Main Street area with tons of restaurants and bars. We didn't even feel a need to drive into historic Charleston for anything. On arriving at the property we noted that the outside furniture was dirty, there are plants blocking the entrance to the stairs leading up to the apartment. The stairs and front door mat had not been swept and they were clustered with leaves. The outside sitting area was covered in leaves. Inside the tops of the curtains were full of dust, the floor was sticky and had not been cleaned. The lamps by the side of the bed are not securely fitted to the wall, they were lopsided when we entered the property. One lamp was leaning on the bed frame. Picture attached. The cable from the TV was partially trunked and not secured to the wall. Picture attached. The upholstery on the sofa was dirty a picture is attached.The base of the shower curtains were filthy and the door to the bathroom was faulty as the hinges are not securely fastened Also note it's quaint having an apartment above the garage however it's not convenient nor socially friendly when the garage door is being opened and closed multiple times by another guest at 6am!
