"This is an old-style hotel. Don't expect a coffee-maker, refrigerator or microwave to be in your room. The wifi was spotty, but that's not unusual for a NYC midtown location. My preference would be for there to be coffee available in the lobby (not too difficult). I'd also like a comfortable chair and desk in my room. Overall: Great location, reasonable price and friendly staff. I'd return to this hotel."

"Our room here was modest in size (as expected in downtown Manhattan), but had everything that we needed. The room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Security was excellent, making sure that only registered guests had access to the elevators which went up to the rooms. The location was right in the theater district, which made it handy for going to Broadway shows."

"Stayed here for 4 nights. Overall good experience. The staff was courteous and accommodated our request for early check in. I was a little skeptical after reading some negative reviews about noise, cleanliness, room size, escalator wait time but my stay was actually good. The breakfast options were good. Room size was good and similar to other hotels in the area in the same range and in room kitchen, filtered water amenities were great for us. The staff did mention about noise during weekdays 9 to 5 pm. But i did not experienced it though i was out of my room around 11 AM everyday. Overall i enjoyed my stay here and the location is a plus."
