The room was good, tatami a bit smelly, we had other tatami/rooms on our roadtrip but they were ok, restaurant a bit underquality in relation to the advertise
Room is nice and spacious, everywhere is clean, very comfortable
Osen area is a bit small, peak hour maybe crowded.
Buffet breakfast and dinner are delicious
This place was amazing! The half board dinner was incredible, the location was stunning. The mineral hot spring was just what I needed after days of traveling. Would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone and can’t wait to come back!
The room is spotless. There are very wide variety of foods in buffet breakfast. High hospitality.

Room little dated but extremely spacious, and very clean. Only comment is lack of USB port. Buffet was adequate but missing the ‘wow’ factor. Property was little far from train station, I think it would be much convenient if the shuttle will bring guess back to hotel instead of just one way to the train station.
I want to start this review off by saying, I WILL be back. My stay at this hotel was almost dreamlike. It's something that I don't want to forget. The room was prepared perfectly, and the service was a 10/10. The breakfasts dinners that were prepared were unique and delicious all around. The staff was kind. I think this hotel and the surrounding town were the perfect getaway from the fast city life. It really gave me time to relax

The place has breathtaking views and the onsens are amazing.
Great place with onsen. Nice view and area. The kaiseki dinner was not great, recommend them to increase the quality of the food and decrease the quantity
The most beautiful views from this hotel. A lovely Onsen onsite as well. We loved our time at this hotel as we stayed in a Japanese room. Would highly recommend.
Very nice hotel, great location, surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Nice private onsen, book able for 45 min, for a reasonable price.
Lovely buffet dinner with lots of top quality fish and meat for reasonable price.
The staff was good. Check in was easy. We loved the traditional Japanese room. It was large and the views were incredible. Location was just what we were looking for. It is an older hotel and the bathroom smelled a bit old. We would return!
Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke English well! Lots of amenities and loved the private onsens. The building was a little outdated and the air conditioner didnt work well so we couldnt get rid of the slight smell the room had. Overall with their breakfasts and views too, I'd come back.
Hotel is great, the scenery around the hotel is beautiful.
Access to on site public bath and also a coffee place with foot bath. The room was very nice and we were very pleased with our stay.
Employees speak english and are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Very helpful staff but property is very dated and air conditioning was very weak. The onsen and bridge are really nice. Food was okay but had lots of variety. The view was fantastic.

Service is Excellent
all staff are nice and helpful
Room is big with great view, Facility quite old, need to improve
This is our second stay at this hotel. It has fantastic onsens, great Japanese buffet, and the rooms are large and comfortable. Kinu-Tateiwa Otsuribashi, a famous suspension bridge, is right behind the hotel that leads to great sceneries. Hotel is approximately 12 min walk to Kinugawaonsen Station, and offers shuttle bus in the morning to the station by request. Next time we visit Nikko, we definitely go to this hotel again!
Love the view from our room. Love the breakfast buffet , included with the room. Just need to remind costumers that dining facilities close early for dinner, no convenience store nearby. Thank you!
The staffwas friendly and accommodating. Talking on the phone was difficult due to language barrier, but there were a couple English speakers on staff that were able to assist us.
The location was perfect. The property is on a cliff overlooking the lake and theres a suspension bridge behind it. Mountain views everywhere. Breakfast was good. I loved our room. It was a little warm, but they were able to give us fans for the room. THE ONSENS WERE AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! If you have tattoos, either cover them or reserve a private onsen.
Nice place and really nice breakfast and dinner. Rooms were traditional Japanese which was really cool to experience. Room had a slight funky smell to it but had a super nice view of the river/mountains. Overall I would stay there again.. No coffee in the room and you had to purchase bottle coffe drinks downstairs and heat them up in a perculator that is all in all japanese and takes a while to figure it out. Really nice staff!
I booked a room that has private open air onsen at balcony on the top floor with exquisite view of beautiful Kinugawa River and mountain. This deal offered Kaiseki meals, and surprisingly, I was able to eat everything though one of two nights dinner was massive! Staffs are wonderful, and I was very lucky to see fireworks from right outside of this facility during the weekend event. I've been here 3 times..... I will come back again for sure.
