Greeted in the parking lot as we drove up. Check-in was very friendly and professional. The ryokan is exceptional in every respect - very traditional and japanese but also extremely comfortable. Room was large, beautiful, and we even had our own ofuro (bathtub) in the room. Dinner was an experience to behold - wonderful. We brought our own wine and that was fine. The onsen are spotless and lovely. The only disappointment - from my research there was a konyoku (mixed) bath available. But it seems that is no longer the case. There is one indoor and one outdoor (rotemburo) bath for men and the same for women but there are no mixed baths (konyoku) anymore. There are 3 private family baths that you can book for an extra 1080 yen for a 45 minute session.
