The owner contacted me at 1:30pm when check-in is at 2pm saying we need to be a £40 cleaning fee and once this is paid then we can get the code to retrieve the house key. This was not stated before booking. We did not pay this fee as the house was no clean. Cobwebs, dust, mould in shower and flies in most rooms as they had left the windows open. On Sunday I checked my account and the. Had taken the £40 from my account without permission. I have asked for a refund as the property was not clean and this has not been processed.
