🌈 The Rainbow Suite is a bright, modern basement studio with smartly separated living zones. The sleeping nook is tucked behind a dividing wall, the living area is cozy with a sofa and TV, there’s a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair, and a small dining area for meals or laptop time.

🗽 Easy Commute to New York City

The Rainbow Suite is located in Jersey City’s West Side / West Bergen neighborhood with easy access to Manhattan. You can take the West Side Avenue Light Rail to connect directly to the PATH train into NYC, or grab an Uber/Lyft straight to Grove Street or Journal Square PATH in minutes. The commute to Manhattan is straightforward, fast, and budget-friendly.

🍳 Kitchenette

Compact but fully equipped: induction cooktop, countertop grill, Instant Pot, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, fridge, and plenty of storage. Perfect for simple meals and longer stays.

🛌 Sleeping Arrangements

Queen bed in a semi-separated nook + sofa bed in the living area. Sleeps up to 3 guests comfortably.

🚪 Entrance & Access

Guests enter through the green door into a small shared hallway.

The pink door leads to a private stairway down to the lower level. At the bottom of the stairs, you’ll pass through a shared laundry area (used only by the household and kept tidy) to reach the private entrance of your suite.

Once inside, the entire apartment is fully private and exclusively yours.

🧺 Laundry

Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer located directly in front of the suite’s entrance. The machines are shared and may occasionally be used by the upstairs apartment or by our housekeeper during daytime hours, but they are easily accessible and convenient for longer stays.

🚗 Parking

Parking in this area of Jersey City is very limited and competitive. Street cleaning takes place four days a week, and it can take time to find a spot, especially in the evenings. For an stress-free option, most guests use the West Side Avenue Park & Ride near the Light Rail station — it’s convenient, close by, and costs only $2.70 per day.

Climate Control: Warmth & Coolness The unit features comfortable central baseboard heating throughout for consistent warmth during cooler months. The mini-split AC/heating system provides efficient and quick cooling during the summer, as well as supplemental zone heating for personalized comfort.

Guests have a private entrance to the suite, accessed through a shared hallway and staircase. The only shared area you’ll pass through is the laundry room, where the washer and dryer are located. Once you enter the Rainbow Suite, the entire apartment is fully private.

I may occasionally be staying in one of the apartments upstairs. I’m always available if you need anything, but I also respect privacy and let guests set the tone. Whether you prefer a hands-off stay or quick communication when needed, I’m here to support you however you’re most comfortable.

Basement Apartment: The Rainbow Suite is located on the lower level of a multi-unit home. It’s bright and fully renovated, but still a basement, so expect a few quirks typical of basement living.

Sound from Upstairs: You may occasionally hear normal household noise from the apartments above (footsteps, doors, etc.). Nothing excessive, but worth mentioning.

Shared Laundry Area: The washer and dryer are in the shared laundry room right outside your suite. Our housekeeper or upstairs guests may use the machines during daytime hours.

Parking: Street parking is extremely limited and has street cleaning four days a week. Most guests prefer the West Side Avenue Park & Ride for hassle-free parking 

Quiet Hours: To keep the home peaceful for everyone, quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 8 AM.
