Really bad service

They booked us in a room which was booked to someone else already. Then they booked us for 2 nights instead of 1. There was no door to the shower and a the water was coming out while bathing.

Slightly away from it all but handy for subway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was compact, but that's the norm for rooms in NYC - there was enough space for us. Bathroom and Room were very clean and tidied every day with fresh towels and linens when required. We didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment, but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful printing tickets and boarding passes on request. Whilst not right at the centre of everything (20 minute walk to Times Square) we found this a bonus, as you felt more rested getting away from the hussle and bustle - the subway very handy and made transfers to and from airport using air train very easy.

Visit New York City.

Pros: Although room a bit small it did the job. As we were sightseeing we only really slept in the room.
Location: The location was good. Very near the Empire state building and 2 blocks away from the hop on hop off bus.
Nice hotel very friendly staff. Great location for a few days in New York.

We loved the location.

The hotel was not luxurious but was perfect for our needs. We had a rim with a king size bed which was a nice comfortable space. The bed was very comfortable. The price was right . The halls could have been cleaner and there were some stains on our carpet but overall the room was clean and I would stay there again.

Pros: Located next to 28th ave metro, which leads you to almost anywhere you need to go. Sandwhiched between Madison and Park. Great location.
Cons: Room 314 has a faint but high-pitched ring that was not fixed, emanating from the fire strobe light alarm. With earplugs, problem is solved.
Location: Most famous sites within healthy walking distance, if you love walking: grand central, NYPL, 5th ave, close by to Bread and Butter for breakfast.
Lovely stay, comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet room. Room 314 odd-shaped though, but still very comfortable. Only problem was the faint high-pitch ring from the strobe light alarm. Easy to hear it when simply trying to rest or read. Must wear earplugs when sleeping if you're sensitive to this. Hotel staff and crew are exceptional and professional. Cleaning staff are so friendly and kind. Desk staff are helpful and friendly. Marta restaurant at ground level is very noisy and mighty expensive. We never ate there! We did however enjoy cocktails and drinks there on our last night in NYC. Room is quiet and peaceful. Loved the fact that the hotel is nearby to metro stations, breakfast places (Bread & Butter and Pret-a-Manger's) and some fun taverns (e.g.: Churchill on 28th). We walked everywhere, so if you are a walker and aren't deterred by distance, you can walk all the way to Central Park along 5th avenue and you will be swept away by NYC charm and extraordinary architecture!!

Everything is good but the room is too small for 2

Pros: Good location, good design
Cons: Take the queen bed out and put a full bed in.
Location: Lots of stuff to do close by.
The queen size bed almost took the entire space in the room. When you want to go to the restroom there is a 16 inch walk way between the bed and the wall AND a TV on the wall that my head hit it 5 times ( still hurts :D ) But the bathroom is good size except when you take a shower half of the water comes out of the shower area AND there is no vent, that means take your time before going in if your partner did a number 2 in there. I don't know about NY but if this hotel was in LA there was no way that it could pass ADA permit. At the end there is a $91 hidden charge that comes on your credit card. I liked the design/materials.

The Redbury NYC

Pros: Location, comfort
Cons: Nothing springs to mind
Was given this hotel in a "mega deal" and it turned out to be an inspired choice! Reasonably well located - subway station just over a block away, within 15 minutes walk of Macy's and Madison Square Garden. Room was a bit on the small side but seeing as we only used it as a base it wasn't an issue. Bathroom was spacious and well stocked.

Great location in NoMad district of Manhattan, NYC

Great location. Close to 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue. Lots of shops to do. Easy to navigate the city. Walking distance to the Empire State Building. Room was cozy but it's NYC so that's to be expected. Decorated nicely. Bathroom was nice. Loved The Bluetooth phonograph. Staff was nice.

Our only complaint is the size of the bathroom sink. Sounds weird, but you hit your head on the mirror when brushing your teeth. It's so small!!! 😂 Great hotel. Would definitely return. Loved free coffee in the morning. Room so clean!!!!!

Terrible renovation and bogus charged

I've stayed at this hotel over the years. It wasn't fancy but simple and nice with very comfy beds. They redecorated and it is now hideous. They must have removed the feather top to the beds which I would now rate as ok. Most importantly when checking in they informed us that they will be charging an extra $28 to the room "to maintain the hotel" hello? Are they kidding. This came with a free smal bottle of water and wifi which did not work. I want my money back and they should be reported
