The house was clean and the owner was easy to communicate with.
It was just a few blocks from the St Charles street car line so getting around was easy. Would definitely recommend.
Shotgun house, very clean on a nice street in the area we wanted to stay. All worked very well and was just as advertised, and as the photos suggested. Check in was easy and the owners lived next door. We didn't have any issues but if we did, I'm confident they would have be resolved quickly. We didn't have a car but parking would not have been a problem as there were plenty of street spaces.

Happy
We got here last evening and we are well pleased. Just as depicted and in a charming old neighborhood. We will return. James was great and very helpful. CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. We are 5 people traveling with 3 generations and it meets all our needs.
Very convenient uptown location near the park, universities, the streetcar line, and restaurants in the riverbend and Maple street areas. Classic New Orleans shotgun style house with high ceilings and pocket doors. Note that you will have to walk through bedrooms to reach the kitchen at the back of the house. Ideal for families. Comfortable and clean.
Good location. It is in an older, but conveniently located NOLA residential neighborhood. The house is a traditional double shotgun style, common in uptown NOLA. It is similar to the houses my wife and I grew up in. It was clean and well furnished. AC, etc all worked well. We had no problem parking all week right in front of the home. The owner lives in an apartment behind the rental and his sister lives on the other side of the double.
There was a material gas leak on the property. There is an open air furnace in the bathroom that was leaking gas. There are no carbon monoxide alarms. The location is good, the interior is not as nice as the photos. The bedding was old and smelled musty. The owner was a good communicator the management group was not helpful and had a very bad attitude
The host, James, is friendly and communication before and during our stay was easy. We enjoyed learning about his family's local history up and down the street.
The location is in the historical Uptown area, walking distance to the zoo and parks. The streetcar has stops on St. Charles, which is just a couple short blocks away, and also the official perimeter of The Garden District, although the beauty of the houses and flowers flow throughout the entire neighborhood.
The house itself is half of a double shotgun home from the 20's. We loved the history and unique experience, but appreciated the TV's in each room. There is a large custom built, open closet for hanging clothes. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and spices and plenty of other items we didn't really need since we ate out so much.
The three of us just couldn't get enough of the amazing food around town.We loved the oysters at Superior Seafood. The Creole Oysters at Gallier's were the best -129 Carondelet St. Both are by tram stops. The French Quarter Music Festival was such a treat!
We will definitely book with James in the future. Thank you for making us feel at home.
Both the property and the owner were great! The home is very nice, more spacious that you might think, conveniently located and in a nice neighborhood. James, the owner, was very nice and easy to deal with.
Quaint property in a quiet district of downtown New Orleans. The property was clean, spacious, and had everything needed for our stay. The owner was very communicative and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Great location!
This home was so convenient for our short visit to see our daughter at college. The owner was very friendly and the house was super clean. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at this beautiful home on a trip to New Orleans to drop our daughter off at college. The space was very comfortable for our family of four and impeccably clean. The porch was a nice place to sit to enjoy the quiet neighborhood and the owner was responsive and friendly.
The host was very friendly and accommodating. He communicated well before and throughout the stay making sure we had what we needed. The place is one half of a duplex. It is an older property but met our needs and we had a great time.
Clean! - this place was very clean - so clean that even the blinds were not dusty. We stayed for four nights with 6 people - 4 adults and two kids. Safe neighborhood and close to the street car.
The home is beautiful, in a great Uptown location. The owner was very good about correspondence, and I'm sure he will quickly fix the A/C problem. We were not able to get the home temperature below 80. I highly recommend this property as long as the A/C is working!
