Historic, Elegant, Costly

Posted 13-Sep-2016
Pros: The lobby was beautiful-- a view into the past.
Cons: It would be much more pleasant with sound proofing between rooms.
The hotel staff was warm and friendly. The bedding was top notch and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent, even had a TV. The pool was small and inhabited by a group of young men skinny dipping. The lounge and dining was extremely costly.

Exceptional experience in downtown NOLA.

Attended a conference for two nights, enjoyed this beautiful, historic hotel. The old style craftsmanship was lovely. Service was exceptional. Food on site delicious. Not inexpensive but I was on business so didn't have to pay the fare.

We went to NOLA for a quick retreat and The Roosevelt was everything that we hoped for. Staff was courteous, we were left alone when we needed to be, and room service was quick, and the food was wonderful.

Great location for theatre goers!

Posted 06-Jun-2016 on Hotels
We came to New Orleans to see a show at the Saenger Theatre. This was a great location for walking to the theatre. The bed was very comfortable, although the room was smaller than expected. We only stayed one night, so that didn't bother us too much!

The Roosevelt New Orleans Hotel

Posted 01-Jun-2016 on Hotels
Our stay at The Roosevelt New Orleans, was immaculate, my fiance enjoyed the deep soaking bathtub with separate glass marble tile, and the breakfast from Teddy's was good, a little pricey for two people could lower the price to make it affordable for others who are on a budget. Overall we were satisfied. The area is a little conjested with traffic with the location it is in-but it was extremely quiet in the luxury suite that we obtained. The room was clean all the time and the service was great.

Mediocre quality but great service

Posted 30-May-2016 on Hotels
Booked the queen sized room, which was a mistake as the room was incredibly small. The bathroom door had to be shut in order to use the toilet or tub. The bed and pillows were very comfortable though. Concierge, bell staff and front desk were all very nice and courteous. Had room service three times and each time something went wrong. First time, they forgot my side. Second time they messed up the oatmeal (was more a soup consistency), third time they forgot a mug to go with the coffee. I learned my lesson the third time to never order room service again. Horrible food and very forgetful. The pool area was nice, clean and big. There is a bar next to the pool, too. I would only come back to use the pool.
