Pelican Perch Waterfront Haven

5 stars accommodations and a great host. Perfect location to visit the French Quarters or Bay St. Louis marina. The home offers you spacious accommodations, a chef’s kitchen, magnificent views of Lake Katharine and a feeling of being home. I highly recommend this home because it is Perfect for any family gathering or a quiet couple’s retreat.

The house has a fabulous kitchen. Completely furnished and ready to please any cook and their helper, in preparation of a good meal. The deck, swimming pool and dock was so much fun, and the water was beautiful!

Wonderful property. House was just as it appears. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots/pans/dishes, etc. Area under the house was perfect for gathering as it stayed relatively cool/breezy despite the hot temps. Would love to come during a cooler month to enjoy the wrap around porches. Views of sunrise and sunsets were lovely.

This rental was perfect. The house was very clean and tidy. The pier was great. We used the kayaks and they were so much fun! I wish the pool was heated but it isn’t advertised that it is so that’s ok. The kitchen is a cooks dream! It was a perfect quiet destination, but right around the corner from all the fun and partying! I will definitely be booking this rental again. It was just perfect for us.

Breathtaking views

My family really enjoyed this property, the views are amazing. I had to reach out to Katherine a few times regarding random things and she was super quick to respond. The property itself is perfect for a large family with plenty of sleeping configurations and was great for the handicap members. The elevator is handy but a little unnerving at first however it appears this style of lift is the way it is done at other houses as well. I wish the pool was heated and that the weather had been nice enough to enjoy the outdoors more but mother nature has her own plans. The kitchen was fantastic. Overall I would definitely come back when it warms up to enjoy this property.

Bachelor Trip

The house was even better than expected. The location on the lake is beautiful and was perfect for the group of guys celebrating his bachelor trip in New Orleans. I would highly reccommend this spot for any group that is looking for a big house just outside the city.

Great place.

I've been coming down to south Louisiana for the past 4 or 5 years with some guys I work with in Chattanooga to fish in the bayou. We have stayed in a number of houses during our visits and we all agreed this is by far the best one yet. The owner was so good to work with and made sure everything we needed we had. The place was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. We would surely stay here again and again. Thanks you .

Amazing house

My wife said this was the best birthday she ever had, I rented this house for my wife’s birthday and I can’t tell you enough how much fun and relaxing it was and the views were amazing especially the top bedroom with all the windows in it. Kids kayaked all day and fished most of the time. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Will be back again 5 stars

House on the water

My friends from college and I wanted to do a reunion trip and chose New Orleans as our destination. We originally were looking for something in or around the French Quarter, but decided that was going to be too noisy and chaotic. So we found this listing about 45 minutes outside of downtown and had an amazing time fishing off the dock, hanging out in the pool and just reconnecting. Really recommend this if you want something outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown with awesome views of the lake.

Not what it seems- stay elsewhere

Stayed 28th to 31st. Couldn’t get in property and had to wait 30 minutes. No toiletries as advertised. Provided 2 roll of the tiniest paper towels for 10 guests. Provided 3 rolls of toilet paper for 10 guests. No dish soap or dishwasher soap but checkout instructions says clean dishes in dishwasher and put away. Dirty pool, water level below jets, and brown (main reason we booked this location). Not usable. 4 of us fell on the ground using the chairs around dining table because they were broken but left to use. Water In Showers and sink were slimey, half the group didn’t shower and had to use a friends hotels shower Had to battle a multiple large cockroaches coming out of the dishwasher every night. Pretty view Stay elsewhere

Thank you to Katherine and her family for opening their home to us which allowed my family to enjoy my moms 60th birthday together! It’s not only a beautiful home with an amazing view but close enough to town to really enjoy New Orleans without being right in the city and all its…flavor at night. Felt very safe and comfortable at Pelican Perch. Katherine was really helpful giving us a lot of great suggestions of places to eat, see and enjoy while we’re in town. Incredible communication along the way and helped us when we had flight delays. Definitely will be back to celebrate and make more memories! -Shannon

Great getaway

We had a wonderful visit! The house is just as described online. Only better - the peacefulness and beauty of the lake are bonuses. We were close enough to get the flavor and fun of NOLA and could come home to the peace and beauty at the house. The porch, pool and pier provided more social spaces for our group of sisters and cousins to visit!

Great place to relax

Beautiful property that was everything we wanted for a birthday bash in NOLA. The location is a little far from downtown so finding an Uber can be challenging, but the views and relaxing atmosphere all but make up for it. Would definitely stay again!
