Easy to get around, and the area is nice and quiet - for New Orleans. This is a shotgun home (long and narrow) with a great front porch and a nice backyard patio. The bedrooms are a good size, and each has its own locking door. The living/dining area is not very large, but it accommodated all 6 of us when we wanted to hang out and watch TV or sit and visit. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. I would suggest adding more silverware, as there were no standard spoons, only soup spoons. Local cats hung out on the porch and in the greenery, enjoying the sunshine. You can walk to local restaurants and bars while soaking up the local culture. ##### Terri G. We stayed at this property 3 nights. It was a very convenient location! We were able to walk to most sites and attractions we wanted to see. The host was easy to communicate with and was quick to respond when we had an issue with the access code to check in. Property was clean; Penelope was extremely nice and accomodating. 15 min walk to Bourbon St.; about the same to "downtown" Canal St. Great local restaurants also; did Fatma's Cozy Corner for breakfast, and would recommend Liuzza's by the Track for lunch. We're lucky enough to visit during the Treme Fall Festival and had a wonderful time listening to live music while sitting the front porch. The home is an easy walk to the Quarter/Frenchman street, but don't overlook all of great locations in the neighborhood as well. Penny was quick to respond to any questions. The house is very close to the french quarter and we could walk to most places. We did not have any trouble walking from and to the house during the day or night.
