You can look at Lake Ponchatrain from the front patio, and the Gulf from the back. The property is very well furnished, even with a half dozen or so fishing poles (and a live bait shop 2 doors down on Chef Menteur). The outdoor kitchen area was very rundown and weathered. There were utensils that were dirty and corroded, the Keurig was not functional, and one of the railings on the back porch was rotted and unsafe. Though nothing camp like about this lovely home. We had everything we could need as far as essentials go in the kitchen and bathrooms, plus plenty of extra blankets and pillows! Beds are very comfy. About a 30 minute drive into downtown NOLA, or 20 ish minutes to Slidell for shopping or food- very convenient. Patricia was very communicative and easy to get a hold of throughout our stay.
