Notified the host and they said they would talk to the cleaning staff. 2nd night and 3rd day noticed a cockroach was in that bathroom and notified the host again and they mentioned that they have a pest control that comes every so often so that right there confirmed that it’s common. Cockroach was out when I checked out and I hoped the cleaning crew would see it but of course they denied it and said it was a grasshopper. Took pics of all of this and all they would refund was the cleaning fee. Definitely stay elsewhere if you can, they even tried to guilt me by saying I took advantage of a glitch on the site and I should have paid twice as much. He cleaned the room and provided us with clean linen and bedding as the cleaning team was not on site and kept the access points as clear and comfortable as he possibly could while regularly checking up on us. The room was close enough to most of the attractions (and necessary public transport spots) but far enough to feel peace and quiet.
