Charming Historic Home Near French Quarter - Cozy & Convenient!

  • THIS HOME IS TRULY COMFORTABLE, SUPER CLEAN and AMAZING! We have been accommodating guest for over 15 years and specialize in DELIVERING a comfortable experience for all of our Guest! Just read our reviews!

    The Main home features 3 bedrooms and can sleep 6, each bedroom has custom bathrooms with stand-up showers and beautiful granite counter tops. The home has a large open floor plan including large dining room/ living room and large laundry room. The custom kitchen Features everything you need to fix a meal for your friends and family.

    This home also Features a detached apartment that sleeps 2 with a queen bedroom/living room private full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Please note The apartment is raised and has a full set of stairs. Not recommended for people having trouble with stairs.

    We are nestled only 4 miles from the French Quarter. It is only a 10-15 minute cab, Uber or Lyft ride away. We are on a corner lot, right across the street from the best Poboy diner in town- Arabi Food Store. They have great breakfast and lunch specials.
    Old Historic Arabi Neighborhood is Safe & convenient.

    We provide - Standard Coffee Pot/one cup, coffee filters, Paper towels, Trash Bags, Toilet Paper, hand soaps, Detergents, Iron and ironing Board, and blow dryers.

    About our area:
    The area known as Old Arabi is made up of two historic districts: The Old Arabi Historic District, 150 acres bordering Jackson Barracks and the Mississippi River including parts of Mehle, Angela, and Esteban Streets, and the Friscoville Street Historic District, 160 acres from the 100-900 blocks of Friscoville. Old Arabi was named one of America's Prettiest Painted places in a 2012 nationwide search conducted by the Paint Quality Institute of America for the stunning use of color on the area's elaborate historical homes and buildings. It's close proximity to the French Quarter and no shortage of things to do right around our home, this is the perfect location to soak up everything Nola has to offer.

    Getting Around our area:
    New Orleans is a small city, which makes getting around a breeze in an Uber or Lyft. The French Quarter is an 15 minute drive away, which will never run you more than $15-20 depending on events and holiday seasons, which is even more affordable when you split it with your group!

    Just come and feel right at home! We take pride in our very clean and comfortable home!

The rental was very spacious and clean. It was a great home for a group of 8 adults - each bedroom has its own private bathroom and the common area has plenty of space for everyone. And the Arabi food store across the street is amazing!

Relaxing Stay

The accommodations were perfect for my trip to New Orleans. It was in close proximity to the destinations that I wanted to go to. It eas also spacious enough for my mother who was using a walker to get around. I also enjoyed being able to sit out on the front porch to enjoy the wearher.

The only thing that made our stay unbearable was the SNOW!!!! This place was great!! The location was perfect, a short drive to everything we wanted. And it was super safe since the police hangout was right across the street. Highly recommend!!

Perfect place stay for four couples visiting New Orleans. House was well located and comfortable. Everything was clean (other than the shower curtain in the guest apartment) and well stocked. Good communications from host. Would definitely stay there again.

New Orleans Experience

We have been wanting to experience New Orleans and it's history as well as do all of the "touristy" things. This house was the perfect location for all of the day trips we took as well as just relaxing. Accommodations were perfect for 4 couples and 4 separate sleeping areas 5 bathrooms was a plus 😉 Neighborhood was perfect with a place to get breakfast and lunch right across the street and Wal Mart a short drive away to get all of the essentials we needed for our week long stay. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful property. It is well equipped for all your needs. Plenty of room so no one is crowded. Beautiful area…store across the street is busy in the mornings but still pretty quiet. The store has odd hours.

Family wedding in NOLA

This property was awesome: charming and spacious throughout. Everything we needed was right there. Having 4 1/2 bathrooms was a bonus, especially when getting ready for wedding events. We had never stayed in Arabi before and enjoyed it, especially on our walks. A quiet retreat from the hubbub of the French Quarter, etc…(French Quarter Fest was going on). Residential with lots of pretty houses, and the Mississippi is a few blocks away. The Arabi Market and Cafe was delightful for breakfast, but closed on weekends. Highly Recommend this property!!!

Gorgeous home. So spacious. Walking distance to 24hr donuts. Also to grocery store. About a 9min uber to French Quarter. Neighborhood is nice for walking. There’s a breakfast place across the street. Unusual hours. But the food is delicious.

As a frequent traveler, I alway choose to stay in vacation rentals. This is one of the best homes I’ve booked. It was very clean, spacious, and had all the things we needed. I really enjoyed looking at the flipbook of how the home was renovated to its look today. Amazing work! The store next door was a great plus and served really good breakfast. The community was quiet which was great for us. Communication with the owner was easy. She even called to ensure we checked in properly. If I’m ever back in the NO area, I hope to book again.

Very nice place to stay

Very cozy home. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy family. Washer and dryer in both the main home and in-law suite. Very easy to catch transportation to main attractions. Communication with owner was great. We had a question about the tv in the in-law suite. She promptly contacted me and found out that WiFi does not reach to the in-law suite. Not a big deal. I just used my phone to watch shows. The home had everything needed for stay. We didn’t have to run to the store and pick up anything. The store across the street had great food but was not open on the weekends. They did have vending machines for soda with was perfect when we wanted something bubbly. The neighborhood was quiet and we sat on porch every night.

Fun NOLA Girls Trips

The home was as shown on vrbo. I loved the home, it was the perfect size for our group of 4. Each lady having her own bathroom (time saver...lol) Good location nice neighborhood, Home also had games for us to play. Unfortunately the restaurant across the street was closed every time we tryed to go, but i heard the food is good. My only Complaint were about clearness of the home. We did have to do some cleaning. It just needs a good deep cleaning. Especially the master bathroom shower as mildew and wash cloths and bath towels need to be replaced, some of they so bad we were not able to use them. I would also suggest a wash cloth just removing make-up. Other them that I would have given this home a 5 star. I really did love the home.

The house was absolutely charming. Just far enough away from the city to really relax in the evenings and mornings, but close enough to enjoy everything NOLA had to offer. Our host was so accommodating! We had to extend our stay due to inclement weather cancelling our flight and she took wonderful care of us! If you’re looking for a beautiful, welcoming home with great food right next door for breakfast and lunch, look no further! Had the best time!!!

Our host was very responsive and helpful. Arriving was very simple and we had zero problems. The house itself was beautiful. Perfect for our group of seven adults. The back and front patios were used daily. The neighborhood was very welcoming and we felt safe walking all over Arabi and Jackson Barracks. Grocery stores were just three blocks away. There is a little store across the street but they were on vacation during our whole visit. Staying at this home made our trip to New Orleans very special.
